Chapter 23

I grabbed his hand and got out of the club, the drive home was quick and I could tell Zayn was in pain but he didnt want to show it

We got into the house and Zayn collapsed to the living room floor

"Zayn!!" I ran to his side and he looked intensely in pain "Take off your shirt!!" I spoke quickly helping him

"Really sex now ??" Zayn joked

"Zayn it's no time to joke!" I was getting scared

"Maggie I'm fine" Zayn protested

I lifted his shirt and the bruising already started to form on his stomach I ran over the imperfections with my hand

"Maggie its nothing" Zayn grabbed my hand

"NO IT'S NOT YOUR HURT" I couldn't control my anger or tears

Zayns smile faded and laid his head back as I got ice from the freezer and put it on his stomach. I tried to hold back the tears but one slipped by every once in a while

"I blacked out again" Zayn spoke quietly

"This happened before?" You could hear the concern in my voice

"Yea multiple times, it started when my parents died and I don't know how to control it" he sighed

"Do you remember what happened? Tonight at the club?" I looked at him but he avoided eye contact

"No.....tell me?" He looked straight up at the ceiling

"Ummm i went to the bar and you weren't there so I ordered a drink and someone came up behind me and touched me so I thought it was you until I turned around and noticed it wasn't. I tried to get away but he pulled me into that hallway and no one was around. He made me kiss him and then you came in you started to yell and fight. You pushed the guy against the wall and it all went down from there" I continued to tend to his injury

"Did I hurt you?" I could hear the pain in his voice

"No Zayn you didn't you saved me!!" I laid down next to him

"I'm dangerous Maggie when I get like that, you should run while you can"

"I don't care !! I love you, no matter what" he finally turned and faced me leaning in and kissing me softly on the lips

I sat back up and am rubbed his bruised torso as the blood continued to flood to the surface

"Zayn, what happens of you killed him? I don't know what I would do if they took you away" I felt the emotions rushing back through me

"Call Liam!! He'll know what to do"

~couple minutes later~

*ding dong*

I got up from Zayns side on the couch and went to answer the door

"Liam thank god your here" I opened the door in relief seeing his bright face

"I came here as fast as I could ! What happened ??" Liam walked with me into the living room to where Zayn was

"We went out tonight and things got bad Liam.." I nervously bit my lip
