"I'm a bit offended it took you awhile to say my name." He laughed showing his straight glistening teeth. His piercing hazel eyes gazed followed my every movement as he readjusted his position of the bench.

"Wow.." I was completely taken back by his arrogance.

"Oh my gosh! it's Cody Simpson!" He exclaimed as his voice rose up and mimicked the voice of a prepubescent girl.

"i just can't believe how cocky you are! By the way, if you're trying to sound like a girl; we don't sound like that." I rolled my eyes,

"Ouch!" He said as he pressed his veiny hand to his chest playfully.

"You can't like, mg acting was pretty nice! " the ends of his lips curled as he smirked

"Hmmm. Sure." I rolled my eyes once again.

"Okay, okay. It wasn't that good." he chuckled, "I'm just playing Kayla. "

"How do you know my name?" Seriousness and tenseness seeped into the conversation.

"Well I was at The Kardashian house because I had a - dd-a"

"A date?" I finished off the sentence for him,

"N-o I -uhh wanted to help them with they're sum-mer line because I'm a surfer. " His stuttering finally formed a competent sentence.

"Oh that explains, go on."

"Then, I saw you through the window and Kylie kinda spit everything out."

"Oh, that makes sense." I nervously laughed, knowing my sister would tell so easily.

"So you're stalking me now?"

"I just saw you and followed you here."

"That's stalking " I giggled while wiping my face.

"Maybe I was. When you see a beautiful girl you follow her."

"Um, that didn't help your case. You literally sound like a stalker."

"Okay, okay. In all seriousness, you can't let a beauty like yourself just walk away without saying anything."

"Right. Well anyways, nice to meet you Cody." I struck my hand out while I blushed.

"Nice to meet you too Kayla." He interlocked his fingers in mine keeping eye contact at all times causing my hands to clam up. He let my hand go quickly signalling the awkwardness. "I think conversations are supposed to start like this." He teased,

"Yeah, we really did everything in reverse." I softly smiled as I wiped my hands off on my jeans.

I had forgotten about my big dramatic breakdown. He really had a way of helping me get things off my mind.

"Well..." I began choking up as the memories swarm back.

"Take your time." His wand was steeped into my body as he wrapped his arm around my waif and brought my body closer to his. Instead of making me more tense, it made me calmerz

"I caught my best friend making out with my boyfriend well - ex now. I found out he was dating me just to get to her."

"I feel so sorry that they did that to you. You don't deserve that." he said sympathetically

"Thanks Cody but there's nothing you can do about it." I said as I began getting up from the bench.

"Hey Kayla, just remember that if someone leaves you it's their lost. You're a blessing to have around." He grabbed my hand and what appeared to redness appeared on his cheeks.
