Chapter 16 Accept It

A: Alex(me)
Ad: Ashley
M: Alex's Mom

A: " Okay. Mom, what's wrong?"
M: " Do you know what someone sent me at work today."
A: " No."
M: " They sent me a news article."
My heart sank.
M: " It's about a girl at your school who's gay and got bullied. Her name is Ashley Davis. Do you know her?"

I shook my head no.

M: " Then why'd they say the other girl involved was you? And don't lie to me."
A: " Fine. Mom, I was gonna tell you eventually. Ashley and I are...dating. I'm gay."
M: " Go to your room."
A: " But don't you wanna talk. I mean this is a big deal and..."
M: " Stop talking...Go to your room... You're not allowed to see Ashley ever. If I catch you with her you're grounded for a month."
A: " But mom..."
M: " Go to your room now!"

I ran up to my room. I never thought that she would react that badly. I known I was gay for a couple of years now. I knew she wouldn't be okay with it, but I didn't think she'd actually be mad.

That night my mom told me I wasn't going to school the next day. I called Ashley and asked her if she could figure out a way to stay home from school. She told her mom see was sick, so when my mom left for work I snuck over to her house on my bike.

A: " Hey babe."
Ad: " Hey. Do you wanna talk?"
A: " Actually can we just hang out. I really don't wanna talk about it right now."
Ad: " Okay so what do you wanna do."
A: " Do you watch Gravity Falls."
Ad: " I've seen a few episodes."
A: " Okay then. Why don't we catch you up."

We watched a couple of episodes, but I really wasn't paying attention. I don't know what I gonna do about my mom.
