Chapter 7 Adapting

A: Alex(me)
Ad: Ashley
M: Alex's Mom

When we got to the airport Ashley and I were both a little surprised not to see our parents there waiting for us. We waited for about 20 minutes, then Ashley decided to call her mom. I stopped her and told her I had figured it out. We told our parents we would be back at 3:00pm, but the time there was 1:15pm. We had figured the time wrong, so we had 2 hours to wait. We decided to just hang out instead of calling our families.
A: " Do you know what I just realized"
Ad: " What"
A: " I'm absolutely starving"
Ad: " Me too. Do you wanna grab something in here"
A: " Sure lets. Let's make it a date. I don't think we've ever had an official date"
Ad: " Sure we have"
A: " No we haven't. Our arcade date was interrupted. And every time we ate my friends or your friends were around. We've just hung out a lot, but we've never been on a date"
Ad: " I guess you're right. So, go on and ask me"
A: " Oh right"
I got down on one knee.
A: " Ashley Davis will you please join me for a lunch date at the airport Arby's"
Ad: " Sorry I have plans...Just kidding of course I will"

We ordered our food and sat at a table away from everyone else.

A: " You know they say you can figure out a persons character by how they eat"
Ad: " Really"
A: " Yep"
Ad: " So what do you think of me"
A: " I think you are a particularly sexy eater. What about me"
Ad: " Considering we've been here 2 minutes and you already have sauce on your shirt I'm guessing you're messy"
A: " That is correct. See this test works"
Ad: " By the way I have good news"
A: " More good news? Today is a good day. So what's the news"
Ad: " My parents know I'm gay"
A: " They do?"
Ad: " Yep so we can hang out at my house a lot and it'll be fine"
A: " You're right. That's great news."
*Ping*
Ad: " My mom texted. She's waiting outside. I can't wait to tell her all about you"
A: " And I can't wait to tell my mom I have a new best friend that goes to Durango Academy"
Ad: " Don't worry if anyone can survive life in the closet its you"
A: " Thanks for the support"
Ad: " How about you come over tomorrow"
A: " Sounds great. I'll see you later"
Ad: " Bye"
A: " Bye"

I gave her a quick hug and kiss goodbye. Now that we're back home we have to be carful about PDA, but we didn't see anyone we knew, so it was fine. Later that night me and Ashley were texting.

Ad: " I wish you were here"
A: " I wish I was there too"
Ad: " Can you stay here tomorrow"
A: " My mom would probably want to meet you first"
Ad: " Ask her. I can come by to get you and she can met me then"
A: " Okay. I'll go ask her"
Ad: " Make sure to call me right after"

M: mom

A: " Mom?"
M: " Yes"
A: " So while I was in Hawaii I met this girl..."
I went through the majority of the story of how me and Ashley met, leaving out the romantic parts, because I'm in the closet.
A: " So can I stay at Ashley's house tomorrow if she comes by and you can meet her first"
M: " Sure"
A: " Really?"
M: " Yeah I don't see why not. Ashley sounds nice and I trust you. After all you're almost 15"
A: " Thanks mom. You're the best"
M: " You're welcome "
A: " Love you"
M: " I love you to sweetie"

I started running up the stairs to call Ashley.

Ad: " Hello"
A: " She said yes"
Ad: " Really"
A: " Yeah I'm all set"
Ad: " That's great I can't wait to see you tomorrow"
A: " I can't wait to see you either"
Ad: " I love you"
A: " Love you too"
Ad: " Bye"
A: " Bye"

I don't know how I'm gonna get to sleep tonight. Between how excited I am and not being able to sleep next to Ashley it's going to be a long night.
