My Alpha Mate

II

I ran as fast as I inhumanly could up the side of the mountain. Tyson was nowhere to be found. I suddenly panicked. I couldn't lose my brother.

"TYSON!! ..TYSON WHERE ARE YOU?!" I yelled. I saw something, it wasn't anything I could make out though. But when it pounced at me I was ready to run but it was as if, I was frozen in time. The clock stopping and I was just anticipating my doom.

I didn't know what to do. I wanted to get Tyson back. He's only five, what could they want with him? Suddenly I was hitting the ground, harder than I thought possible and then came the rush of anxiety. I couldn't make breath or calm myself, but I was still trying to make sense of the situation. That thing was on top of me and it was trying to get to my face. I did everything I could to hold it back.

"Jade honey wake up it's just a dream." I could hear my mom's voice piercing its way from reality to my dream.

My parents sat on the edge of my bed. My dad ran a cool cloth across my head and my mom was running her hand through my hair. "Are you alright?" she asked and I took a minute to make out what was happening. I just nodded. I got up from the bed and walked myself to the bathroom. I stood in the mirror, scoping my face. I eventually turned on the shower and removed every piece of clothing I was wearing. I stepped into the shower and lathered a cloth and rubbed it over every corner, naval and every crevist of my body. Then i washed my hair.

When i finished, I wrapped myself in a towel and walked back to my room. I dropped my towel and put on a set of underwear. I threw on a tank top and sweatpants and left the room.

I went to the pack house kitchen. I just wanted some water, maybe some fruit but mostly water. After grabbing a water from the fridge, I turned around and placed it on the counter. "Jade?" I hear in front of me. When I look up it takes me a minute but I knew who she was. "Alya?" I asked. A smile grew on her face so I knew I was right. She comes around the island and wraps her arms around my neck, tightly embracing me. Before I pass out, she lets go and states an obvious "Long time no see!" I gave her a shrugged smile and agreed. "How are you? how are your parents?" she asked. "They're good, I'm good. You?" I answered and she gives me another warm smile. "Awesome"

This is, or was, my best friend. We did just about everything together when we were younger. Including fight each other's, enemies.
 We conversed for a while. We caught each other up on the past events in our lives. "Woah, you have a baby brother?" she asked in midst of my story about moving. "Yeah, his name's Tyson. He's like 5" I told her.  "Can I stop by to see your family later? it would be nice to see my second family," she admitted and I agreed. It was her second family, she would stay with us a lot when we were younger. It wasn't like she lived so far, or in a different house. She was right down the hallway and she really didn't like being home.

"Well, I was planning on going for a walk," she said looking down at her phone. "Can I come with? " I asked "Sure" I put my water on the island, and right when we were about to start leaving a boy emerged from the hallway and came up to Alya. He gripped her waist and kissed her cheek. "Where are you off to?" he said smiling like there wasn't a care in the world. "I was just about to go for a walk, with Jade. You remember her right?" He looked up and I immediately recognized him. "Jovante" I sighed. "Well, i guess you're not happy to see me are you?" He joked. "I'm sorry it's just wherever you go, Dumbo follows," I stated and it took him a minute to realize what I meant. He chuckles lowly. "Yeah, but he wasn't with me this time." He came around and hugged me. "Want to walk with us?" I asked and he declined. " I can't I have a lot to do this morning, maybe later we can all get together and hang out later." He offered. Alya and I both agreed.  

"Where you going Jade ?" asked Jace. I rolled my eyes as he came around the corner. Why must he bother me? "I told you, he's like some lost puppy." I smartly remarked to Jovante. "No need to be hostile, I just asked a question,"  Jace said adding his hint of humor at the end. " Yeah, and after the warm welcome I received from you yesterday, do you really think I want to even hold a conversation with you?" I retorted

He's such a buzz kill and a jerk. "Com'mon, don't be that way Jay," he said. "Don't call me that," I said pushing past him. What an ass, I really don't have time for any of his bullshit.
