My Alpha Mate

IX

I lied there, staring at the ceiling. I wanted to justify all the reasons why this happened. Like how he's a future alpha, and all the girls will want him because they're power hungry. But what's his excuse? I let out a loud groan. Last night I fell asleep crying on my dad's shoulder, my baby brother came to cuddle me this morning and my mom brought me breakfast in bed, even though she knew there was a high probability I wouldn't eat it. Thank god today was a day off from school. Jace was actually blowing up my phone all night and this morning. I didn't know what to say or where to start in my book of swears made just for him so I just ignored him.

There was a knock on my door. Alya and Jojo. "There better not be a third person with you, or you can stay out," I said waiting for a response, but the door swung open instead. I sat up and the two came in and sat on the end of my bed. "Are you okay?" Jovante asked. That question only put a lump in my throat and before I knew it I was crying again. Alya hugged me and it only made it worse. 

Don't you hate that? When you're an emotional wreck and everyone has good intentions to help you feel better and it only makes you cry harder? I detest that feeling, and the execrating feelings I have for Jace only made it worse. 

"So what happened?." She asked me. I didn't want to relive any of it. Talking about it only made my wolf feel worse. She was broken and it gave me actual pains. "I don't think I can bare to tell the story over. " I admitted and she nodded.

"He kissed someone else. " Jojo blurted out. "How did you know that? I thought you and Jace weren't talking. " Alya asked, "You and Jace aren't talking?" I asked. "Yeah, I didn't want to overwhelm you with everything that was going on and I knew you would blame yourself, but it's not your fault. Jace has been a real dick and I tried reaching out to him and he just brushed me off, so I told him to go fuck himself," he confessed and he was right, I did blame myself. He wouldn't have acted like this if I didn't say what I said. "Okay but please explain how you know that Jovante" Alya pushed. 

 "Well, last night he came to see me. He insisted I hear him out because no one else would want to listen to him. He said your dad told him that you didn't come home yet, so he waited for you downstairs and you never came through the door, then realizing that you were home the entire time. He tried calling you and texting you but you never answered and it only made him worry. That's when he came to me and started explaining what happened after school. She came on to him and he kept telling her no. That when you came around the corner she had just kissed him and then you came around the corner." I didn't know how to feel when Jojo finished. 

I needed to talk to Jace.

Jace's Point of View:

"It's not fair! We need attention too, it's not all about them!" my wolf was growing restless. He didn't want to wait on Jade any longer. "That's my mate I can't just drop her. " I stated "Well, she obviously did that to you. Ignoring you, not letting you explain the truth, she doesn't care about you. She even admitted to wanting nothing to do with us! Maybe we should give her exactly what she wanted." He was telling the truth. Maybe it's for the best anyway. She wouldn't have to worry about me hurting her anymore anyway. It would help us both out if I just moved on.
