I sat down with Alya and explained to everything that was going on. I'm glad she showed up for me. "Okay, Jace shouldn't have done any of that or said any of that, but at the same time, what he said before going into the cafeteria is true, you said to didn't want him as your mate and he was only doing as you wished. You guys just need to talk it out instead of being so stubborn. " She was so right. She always was.

"How am I supposed to get him to understand?" I asked dropping my pencil on the desk and sighing loudly. "That you have to figure out on your own. "

When Alya and I finished our homework, conversed more about other things. Eventually, she left and then I was left to figure out my next move by myself. I didn't have a clue.
 I just decided to take a nap and try to figure everything out later.

Jace's Point of View:

After school, I was a little worried about where Jade ran off to. She didn't tell Jovante or Alya where she was until Alya reached out to her. "She said she's walking, she has a few errands to run. " Alya assured me. Who was Jade fooling? I knew she didn't want to be in the same space as me right now. I probably made her cry. "Did I make her cry?" I asked randomly. I bet they weren't expecting to hear me talk at all. I've been blowing them off too recently. I don't know why I'm taking my anger out on them, to be honest. 

"This morning, yes. " Jovante answered. "Seriously babe?" Alya said hitting him in the shoulder. I didn't say anything. I didn't know what to say. What was I going to do about this? I purposely flirted with someone in front of her, I embarrassed her in front of our friends. But she said she wished I wasn't her mate. I bet she wished I wasn't in her life at all. 

Eventually, we made it back to the pack house. Immediately Alya excused herself from us and headed inside. Jovante turned to me and said " Can we talk about some things?" and I shrugged. "What could we possibly talk about?" I asked shoving my hands in my pockets. "This, this isn't you. " he stated. "So who am I?" I asked. "Not m best friend if you keep blowing me off like this." He said, grabbing his book bag and heading into the house.

Wow, now he's disowning me too? 

Jade's Point of View:

I couldn't even fall sleep, nothing worked. My mind was running on thoughts and it was late. I didn't know what to do right now. I guess I could walk. I put on my shoes, grabbed my phone and quietly left. I headed outside and the air was cool. 

I always felt at peace outside enjoying the atmosphere. The wind picked up and I began to shiver. "I should've grabbed a jacket. " I said to myself, but I continued. I walked the same path as the time I walked. I passed by that tree and went even further though. I could see something in the distance. It was dark, but I knew I could see a figure. I kept walking, slower than before and I stepped on something and it snapped loudly under my foot. I used the flashlight on my phone to make out what it could be and it was and it was a branch. When I looked up the figure was gone. 

I was confused as to how something could move so fast without making a sound until I heard it take a deep breath behind me. I turned slowly on my heels and came face to face with the black figure. I let out a throat quenching scream and it covered my mouth. Then I felt the most comforting sensation from this hostile touch. My heart was pounding and I was breathing hard. He removed his hand from my mouth. "You're okay, it's just me. " Jace said, tone still as cold as ice. "Well I thought everyone would know not to sneak up on someone in the dark, " I said in a huff. 

"What are you doing out here so late?" he questioned. "I couldn't sleep. "  I confessed. "Me neither." He said stepping past me. It was silent between the both of us and we didn't want to leave each other's presence either. "Can we please talk about this?" I begged our backs facing each other. "What is there to talk about?" he asked. 

"Everything!" I said turning to face him but he stayed put. "I'm sorry for what I said. My intentions weren't to hurt you but to make everyone understand. I felt attacked that night, and you weren't bothered by any of it. I wasn't ready to talk about it, I wasn't ready to accept the fact that someone who once hated me, and probably still does was my mate. " I said and he didn't say anything. " I just moved here two weeks ago and in just two days I'm already dealing with someone who gets a kick out of watching me hurt. In those same two days, I find out that he's supposed to be my lover for life and I'm supposed to just act like nothing happened? That wasn't fair to me, and you weren't being fair by pushing yourself on me the next day and then showing up to my door and telling everyone what I wasn't ready to tell them. Everything was happening so fast and you didn't even give me the chance to stop and smell the roses." I felt pained to even explain my feelings. I'm way too emotional for all this. 

I waited for him to say something and it was like waiting for food in a restaurant on Easter Sunday, slowly but surely, only now I was losing my appetite.

"I'll just go... " I said turning on my heels I began walking and at this point, I didn't think he was going to stop me. He just stood there and I didn't understand why I even bothered. My eyes swelled with tears and I couldn't control the flow. I was cold tired and my heart was confused.
