XXV

Jace's Point of View:

I woke up, sitting in the chair. I never left her side last night. Neither did her dad, but he was just leaving when I woke up. "I have to talk to her mother. I'll be back later. Please keep me posted. " He informed, and asked of me.  I agreed. 

When he left I couldn't help but gaze at Jade. I couldn't help the fact that part of me wanted her to wake up right now so I can hug her, kiss her and tell her she was going to be okay. The other part of me just knew that this is the most piece she has probably had in a while. She has been through hell since she's got here, she deserved this rest. 

I had a dream, almost like memories of my encounters with Jade. I saw and heard myself say and so many things that I wanted so badly to take back. I hoped these weren't real, but I had a gut feeling they were. I hadn't realized I was crying up I felt my tears turning cold on my skin. I wanted to get to the bottom of this. 

I know she wouldn't poison herself. She wouldn't inflict so much suffering on herself like that. Someone did this to her. I had to find out who. 

I grabbed her hand and held it in both of mines. I kissed her fingers and held back tears. I was going to avenge her pain. My phone buzzed. It was Karla asking me where I was. Why am I still with her? " I asked myself. I really don't understand myself right now. I didn't text her back. I need to figure out what was going on with me and I want to make some of the things I'm afraid I've done right. Starting with Karla, I can't be with her anymore. 

I was awaiting a response from Alya or Jojo. I had told them about Jade and her state, but neither one of them have shown up or responded.   

Alya's Point of View:

I woke up on the cement floor curled up in Jovantes arms. Even though we were being held captive, I still felt a sense of security with Jovante being here with me. I shook him gently and his eyes popped open. I think I startled him. I tried linking Jade, last night and she was unresponsive, it went through, with no blockage, it's just like she never got them. 

That boy, who listens to Karla started laughing as Karla comes through the room. "What's funny ?" She asked him. He had both of our phones and he was reading through the notifications on the lock screen. "I guess that poison worked faster than it was supposed to. Jade's in a coma. "He shared, still laughing and I felt my heart sink. I looked at Jojo, who also looked like he had heard the worst of the worst. 

Jade's in trouble, and who knows what state Jace is in. I didn't know if he still hated her or not. Hopefully not. We were supposed to meet with Jade last night. She found something in Jace's room that most likely has to do with the reason why he's so hell bent on keeping Jade away and holding Karla close. I was hoping they would speak about it, but all she's been talking about is how Jade doesn't listen and how Jace has been ignoring her text. 

"That's not funny! I told you, to make it work in a shorter amount of time, just so I can get more information! Not higher the dosage, speed up the process and make it harder for me than it already is! " She shouted, scolding him and pushing his head. He rolled his eyes and murmured under his breath. "Christ! You just don't want me to win, do you?Just because you're a loser doesn't mean I have to be one too. " She spits at him. What a bitch.

Jojo and I both paid close attention to Everything they were saying. "I think Jace has been ignoring my calls because the serum wore off. I need another one soon for the next time I see him, and don't fuck it up! " Just as she was talking, her phone rings. She looked ecstatic. "I'll be right back. It's Jace. " She said then headed outside. 

Jojo and I looked at each other. There was no point in talking to out loud. I'm surprised she even let us go this long without sedating our wolves like she did to Jade. She probably thinks we're too afraid to endanger anyone else.
