My Alpha Mate

Jade's Point of View:

Everyone was running to the corridor. When Jace and I got there, everyone was standing at attention ready for orders. Jace stopped me and put both of his hands on my shoulders. He looked me in the eye. "From this moment forward, I will not be able to stand by your side and fight, you must protect yourself. Until the end of the battle, you will be treated like a soldier. I love you. " He said kissing my forehead. "I love you too. " I confirmed. "Fall in. " He told me and I did what I was told. Jace doesn't have to worry about me, I won't let them get the best of me like before. 

"We fight until they retreat! " The Alpha boomed. "There shall be so fatalities unless they're trying to cause them. An eye for an eye, a limb for a limb, a life for a life!" He continued. "Half of you will approach head on with my father. The other half will follow me and attack from all sides. Give them a reason to run! " Jace ended off, revising his plan. He made eye contact with me in the crowd and instantly broke it. The look in his eye was sinister. I didn't want him doing anything he'd regret. "Fall out! " He shouted. We all hurried to gear up. Alya caught up with me. "I'm worried about Jace. He seemed a little- " I cut her off. "I know... I don't want him to do anything he'd regret. " I admitted. When we finished we broke off into two separate groups. This battle was to be fair. No shifting, just agility, speed, and strength. Anything else would be treated as a threat to life. For me at least. 

Alya's Point of View:

Jace and Jade both were acting maliciously. They're both angry, and with every right to be, but I didn't want anything to happen to them. Jojo was attacking from all sides with Jace, while Jade and I followed the Alpha. I was worried for Jovante, but I know he can hold his own. When we reached the forefront, Karla and her mate stood in front of their whole pack. She looked amused, but I didn't know what for until I heard Jade growl loudly. Jade was going to go after her. I just know it. We all stood in silence, waiting for someone's orders to attack. It was so silent and then Jace's voice broke it. "Now! " And I watched Jade run straight at Karla.

Jace's Point of View:

When I gave the go ahead, I watched Jade run right at Karla, but Karla was ready. I went straight for the Alpha. He looked at me, unbothered and waited for me to approach him. "It's nice to finally meet you, Jace. " He said. "Can't say the same for you. " I told him. It was like he already knew me. "Well of course not, but I know you well. You stole the heart of my mate and made me suffer. "  He informed me. Karla has an alpha as a mate? So why was she going after me? "I didn't want her. " I stated. "No, but she wanted you, so why not terminate the competition. Maybe I could take Jade for my own will when I finish with you. She's pretty cute." 

He was testing me, and it worked. I lifted my fist and hit him right in the mouth. He wasn't going to get away with talking about her like that. I will not allow it.He pounced at me and I dodged him.  He launched himself far enough to turn around and run at me. I let him get a hit on me. 

"See, Karla knew that Jade would want to fight her. So she's going to take care of her once and for all. " He stated. I felt an overcoming feeling of worry, which then turned into rage. "Should've never let her come out to play if she's that angry. She might get killed. " I punched him in his face and then kicked him in his abdomen. This didn't feel right. He wasn't even trying. Either that or he's just no good. I took a quick glimpse of the battle field. Alya, Jovante... Where's Jade? I didn't see Karla either. I pounced at him and kept punching him repeatedly. He was distracting me, they're fighting dirty! 

I didn't stop until someone grabbed my arm and pulled me off of him. He got up and ran off. I turned to see my father. "They're fighting dirty! Karla has Jade again! I need to find her! " I rushed my words, I was panicking. "Go find her. " He told me before turning around to take on another opponent.
