Chapter 28

Evan's POV

"I think I love Jack!" Elsa said out quickly, then gasped and covered her mouth. "The- There, I sa-said it." She stammered.

I burst out laughing. "That's what you've been keeping a secret?!"

"Evan! What's so funny?!" Elsa asked crossly.

"Yeah? Anyway, you love Jack, that's great news! So why worry so much?" I asked.

"It's just... What if-"

"How could there possibly be a what if?! Jack already confessed that he loved you." I cut in.

"No not that. Just, how will this affect me? What will my parents say about it? What if this isn't what I really want? What if this affects my studies? What if Jack doesn't love me anymore?!" Elsa exclaimed.

"Elsa..." I sighed and shook my head. "You've seen your friends, Merida and Punzie, they have boyfriends and their grades are quite good. Anna has Kristoff, and what did your parents say about him?"

"Uhm... Nothing actually. They're quite happy." Elsa replied.

"There, see? You've got nothing to worry about! As for your other question, of course Jack still loves you! It'll be nonsense for him to give up right now. He's been wanting you for his whole life!" I continued.

"And what answer do you have for one more question?" Elsa asked.

"You ask too many questions." I rolled my eyes. "Maybe you can't feel that's what you really want right now, but you just have to give it a try. You won't know if you don't try."

"Do you have an answer for everything?!" Elsa snapped.

"Sorry." I laughed. "But wait till Jack finds out this!"

"No, don't! DON'T TELL HIM!!!" Elsa yelled.

"Why not?! It's great news!" I exclaimed and ran to the door.

"EVAN!!!" I could hear Elsa shouting super loudly. She does know this is a hospital, right?

I ran straight to Jack's room and locked the door so that Elsa wouldn't stop me.

"Woah! What's the rush Evan?" Jack asked, surprised.

"Dude you are not going to believe this!" I panted. "But you gotta promise not to freak out."

"I'm listening." Jack said.

"Elsa loves you!"

Jack's POV

"Elsa loves you!" Evan said.

WHAT?! I yelled in my mind. Is this a joke? It has to be a joke, right? Ok yeah, very funny Evan, you got me. Like, come on! There's no way Elsa would love me. Especially since the way I treated her ever since Evan came.

"Well, well?!" Evan asked excitedly. "I'm serious here!"

"If I faint, you're responsible for this." Was all I could say.

"Isn't it great?! You love Elsa, and she loves you back! Perfect relationship!" Evan said.

"But why? Why would she love me? It's just, I never expected that to happen, not at a time like this. Cause I'm pretty sure she has a crush on you instead..." I said.

"Me? Um like, no way." Evan laughed. "Some people were meant to stay as friends only. Besides, I don't have any intention to date her. I told you that before, remember?"

Before I could reply, I could hear someone pounding on the door. "Evan! If you dare say a word, I will kill you!" Wait, that was Elsa's voice.

"Go ahead and do what you want, I already said it!" Evan shouted.

I shot Evan a questioning look. "You see, she didn't wanna admit she loved you." Evan explained.

My head fell back to the pillow, what a mess this is! I can't process right. I mean, I have always wanted this to happen, but now that it has happen, why am I not feeling what I've dreamed of feeling? Isn't this supposed to be great? Then why am I not thinking it's great? It's a lot to take in.

"I... Can see you need some time alone." Evan said and went out. I caught a glimpse of Elsa before she shouted again.

"Say whaaaat??" I said out loud the minute Evan closed the door. Seriously, WHAT?! I'm even more shocked than when Anna gave this dare!

So let me just get this right, Elsa loves me? For real? Since when did she even know about love?! Is she sure she loves me? What's the proof I wonder? Like yeah, I love Elsa, but her? Does she know the feeling of being in love in the first place?

After about 10 minutes, I heard another knock. "Come... In?" I said.

It was Elsa, only Elsa. Wonder what she did with Evan already.

"So..." I started nervously.

"So..." Elsa gulped. "You know now?"

"Uh yeah... Evan told me." I replied.

"Great, I wish I never told him in the first place." Elsa sighed. "I thought he could be trusted with secrets."

"Elsa,why do you want to keep your feelings a secret? Open up to it." I encouraged. "It's not like it's disaster striking down."

"But it is! I think... Look Jack, I never felt like this before and it's like taking control over me, help!" Elsa exclaimed.

"It's just love. You'll get used to it." I blurted out.

And we just looked at each other in awkward silence.
