Jack's POV
After a potential week of conflict and disaster, the weekend has finally arrived. And every minute that goes by just makes me wanna puke of my nervousness.
So what did I do for the past few days you may ask? Other than banging my head on the wall trying to think about ideas. It was pretty hard to avoid my friends, I didn't want avoid them at all but I feel more pressure around them. Some don't even know that I'm gonna ask Elsa, which is good. Like I said, the lesser the better.
I took all the advice I could from Punzie and Anna, but they were hesitant to give much and I can't say I followed all of them. Cause I asked my younger sister, Emma for some help. And she came up with one of the greatest ideas ever.
~Flashback~
"Jackson, you've seemed to be a little too conflicted for the past 3 days, and you're causing an awful lot of noise in your room, would you mind telling me what's going on?" Emma asked.
"Sorry, I'll pipe down." I said.
"What's your problem? Can I help? You look like you're in a lot of trouble." Emma continued.
"No, no, I don't need any help." I denied horribly, I really needed someone to help, a girl would be better.
"I can tell very well that you need help, what is it? Did you break another school property again?!"
"No, I didn't! Besides, that was a total accident and not my fault! That cupboard wasn't secured properly at all."
"THEN WHAT IS IT?!?!"
"Nothing! Just... Leave me be!" I shouted and stormed to my room.
"I'm telling mom and I'm sure you'd rather deal with me than with her!" Emma was hammering on my door.
Everything ran through my mind, Emma was right, I'd rather deal with her than with mom. Mom has way more questions to ask, super annoying! Besides, I really need someone to talk to. Someone that can offer help. And what better than my sister. She knows more on girl stuff, she understands what a girl feels like, she knows what a girl would want.
"JACK! I'M TELLING MOM FOR REAL!!!" Emma screamed. I give up, Emma always uses this way to get what she wants. And usually succeeds.
I sighed and opened the door. "If you'll be so kind to stop shouting and screaming, I'll spill the beans."
Emma stopped and smiled widely, grinning ear to ear. I knew it was gonna be a long talk. "All right, tell me every single thing and I'll see what I can do to help. I'm your sister, after all, it's a responsibility to help my older brother whenever in need." Emma said.
I gestured to the bed. "Ok, here it goes..."
It took me about 20 minutes just to say everything that I needed. Well, roughly around that time, maybe even more. I lost track of time. Emma was a very good listener, every word sank in. I think I let out the longest sigh of the century when I finished explaining. It felt utterly amazing to share my feelings to someone, someone much much closer to me.
"I see your problem." Emma nodded, still processing.
"A very big problem." I added. "If you were me, what would you do?"
"Well, do you remember a couple years back, when mom taught us origami?" Emma started.
"Your room is full of origami, it's quite impossible to forget when I have to clean your room." I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever. Ok, what I'm suggesting might be a bit cheesy, for your standards. But, make a ring. With origami. And fold it yourself! It shows your creativity and make it genuine. I know your girlfriend likes blue, so go get blue colour paper and fold a ring." Emma continued.
"A ring?!" I exclaimed. "Emma, it's not a proposal!"
"And who said only rings are involved in proposals?! Besides, asking a girl can be considered to be a mini proposal. A ring can make her touched." Emma fired back.
As much as I was in denial with the idea, Emma had a good point, it can be a good surprise. And I'm positive that Elsa would like it.
"Here, that's all you need. I can lend you some glitter too if you want. Fake sparkly stones would be nice as well." Emma dumped a bunch of stuff on the bed, I didn't even realise that she left my room to hers and came back that fast. I only focused on the colour paper. It was the most important item.
"Hold on," I stopped Emma from going out of my room. "THAT'S all your advice?"
"Jack, you should be grateful enough that I even gave you a suggestion. Your friend's right, you shouldn't ask for help, think yourself, be yourself." Emma replied, walking away.
~Flashback~
So basically, this was it, this was the big day, this is the day I'm gonna ask Elsa. The biggest moment of my life is about to happen in just a matter of time. I may have rehearsed over and over again about what I'm going to say, but I just can't help but will feel worried. All it takes is one word to change my entire life. The power of words!
I invited Elsa out during the late evening. There was some sort of I event going out on that day. I didn't care what it was, I was just in for the fireworks. You can rent a boat there, well you have to row it yourself though. And it all comes down to timing and confidence. Mostly confidence. I swear I got jitters just trying to get out of the house.
I arrived at Elsa's house. Here's where it all starts. Here we go...
