chapter 10

Michelle's POV/waking up
I woke up and I was in loads of pain so I whispered "Michael" he instantly woke up and said "what's wrong? Do you need me to call someone?" I shook my head "I'm just-" I paused from the pain "in pain" "okay I'll go get the nurse" "mmhmm" I watched him head out the door and a few minutes later he came back in with a doctor "hello Michelle, how are we doing today?" "Just in a little bit of pain" "okay well I have some panadol here-" Michael stepped in and said "she's allergic to panadol" "okay well I'll see if we have anything else" the dotor went out of the room "they should have plenty of stuff in here to help get rid of the pain that you can take home with you..." "They,must have" the doctor came back in with some nurofen "well we have this,are you at any chance allergic to this?" "no I'm not allergic to it at all, it's the only thing I've ever had" "okay good well you can go home today but in a month time you have to come back" "okay" "oh and here's a brochure on what you have to do if you ever need to do your daily needs like a shower, you have to put-" "a bag over the cast so then it won't get wet" "yes now before you leave you need to take two of these" she gave me two pills of nurofen and a plastic cup full of water "after an hour you may leave the hospital" "thank you" I took the tablets and gave the doctor the cup back "well I'll see you again in a month Michelle, make sure you get some rest oh! and no school for at least a week so you can get use to the way things work with that arm like that" "okay sure will thank you" "bye" "bye" then the doctor left the room.

Me and Michael stayed in the room sitting on the bed "so I have to get to the school... Its eight fourty-five am and as you know school starts at nine thirty" "okay well I'll see you in a week time" "yep see you then" we hugged then he gave me a kiss on the cheek "bye" I whispered while he left the hospital room. An hour past and it was time for me to leave so I grabbed my school bag and rang my mum (Mum: M Shelly/me: S)
M: hello?
S: hey mum can you come pick me up at the hospital
M: sure honey I'll be there in ten
S: okay see you then
Then I hung up and put the DVD player back in my bag with my earphones and I headed to the waiting room. About ten minutes later my mum came in looking for me,I waved and she came over to me I went over to the front desk and signed myself out "see you in a month time" "yep see you then" then we left the hospital and I got in the car. My mother took my bag off my back and put it in front of my feet "thank you" "no problem" she started driving "so how long off school do you have? and how did you do this to your wrist?" "A week and my geography teacher made me write a whole ten pages due to accidentally being late to class I told the teacher that my wrist was hurting but she made me keep going and I just, was in a lot of pain so much that I was nearly crying" mum started to get angry about it I knew she was getting angry because she was gripping the steering wheel really hard "THATS IT! I AM CALLING THE SCHOOL AS SOON AS WE GET HOME! THAT TEACHER IS GOING TO GET FIRED!!!" "Woah mum calm down! The main thing is that I'm okay,she'll get fired sooner or later just please don't call the school I don't need anymore drama in my life" she loosened her grip "I'm sorry and I'm glad your okay and I know I shouldn't be putting pressure on you since you just got out of the hospital you should be calm and relaxed" I nodded my head slightly I grabbed her free hand and said "thank you mum" she looked at me for a second and said "your welcome" then focused back on the road.

When we got home I grabbed my bag with my left hand and mum opened and closed the door for me when me and my mother were walking to the front door my dad came running to me "sweety! I'm glad your okay!" I giggled then dad hugged me "I'm glad your home...what happened to your wrist?" Mum spoke before I could say anything "honey we shall talk about that another time, but for now we need to keep her relaxed, calm and happy" my dad looked confused "okay as long as I get to hear what happened" "you will" we all walked to the front door my dad opened the door for me and mum "thank you" I walked inside the house and went straight to my room and laid down. I opened my bag and grabbed my phone out I turned it on and saw that there was no notifications so I just played a few games on it here and there but then I was getting a call.... M: hey
S: hey Michael?
M: yep its me
S: why did you call me?
M: just wanted to hear your voice
S: why?
M: just wanted to just to make sure you're okay
S: okay well I'm absolutely fine,I just got home actually hey wait...shouldn't you be teaching?
M: it's recess so no I shouldn't, haven't your checked the time?
S: nope
I looked at the time on my phone and saw it was eleven thirty am
S: is it really eleven thirty?
M: yep surprise surprise
S: *giggling* so how much longer have you got?
M: well *yawning* about twenty minutes
S: okay, are you tired?
M: yeah but I'll be alright the school day shouldn't be too much longer
S: okay well if you get to tired then you should get someone to take over
M: I know but I love teaching so I want to keep going I'm proud of being a teacher
S: I know you do but you have to take a break sometime
M: you know I'm a workaholic
S: I know you are I am too
M: so you know how I feel?
S: yeah
M: okay good
S: I should let you go, you should have some papers to grade
M: well I've got your class ones to grade but I've only got *quietly counting* twenty of them left
S: okay so you should do that then if you ever need to talk to me you can always text in class
M: I know but its a break so thought I should call you instead of texting
S: okay well *checked the time* you've got five minutes now so i should let you go now
M: alright bye
S: bye
Then I hung up...
