Chapter #4

*Reyna's POV*

Anna demanded for every single detail which eventually led to the story of Ron and me. 
"Oh you are so strong girl ! If I would have been there I would have probably been lying in a ditch of some sort", she sympathized.
"Don't go giving me ideas alright ?", I said giving her a wink.

That night we went into studying late for the exam on Tuesday as we had wasted our day more than we should have. At around midnight we were disturbed as my phone beeped.
" Jeez ! You do have a lot of fans. Who texts at midnight ?", Anna said sarcastically.

The name I saw gave me butterflies. It was my best friend who could get in touch with me for just once a year. A text from him just meant one thing.

Kurt: Hi Rey .. Guess what ? I'm back in Brooklyn !!

I couldn't help but squeal in delight.
Kurt was back !

"Woah ... I'm sure some girl wouldn't earn such a squeal. C'mon. Tell me everything", Anna piped up.

As I filled her in , I could see her mouth curl up into a smile.
"So... Is he hot ?"

Typical Anna.

"Yes he is. Also, he is my best friend!".
"I know I know. You mentioned that a million times already ."

Kurt was four years older to me but the age gap never did come between us. He had always been my best friend. A shoulder to cry on, mostly tears of laughter.

I just HAD to meet him. I hadn't been in his warm embrace for months now and I had missed it. After my exams, Kurt agreed to come all the way from the country to campus as I couldn't go.
I was on cloud ten , if there is any such thing.

I was prancing around the room as I got ready only to get death glares from Anna. She had a date of her own and wasn't able to find her stockings.

"REYNA !  THOSE ARE MY STOCKINGS ! "

"Huh ?", I whipped my head,"what ? Um.. Sure.. Okay". I quickly removed them and gave it to her, checked myself in the mirror and quickly ducked out of the door before Anna had a chance to say anything else. Or scream.

We were supposed to meet just around the corner and I didn't have to walk a very long way. As I turned around the corner, I saw a sleek black mercedes waiting for me. My vision tunneled as I saw him. He was looking down at his phone screen wearing a black t-shirt pairing it with beige pants and shades. He looked ....gorgeous?
Suddenly he looked up and I could see him grinning as his eyes met mine. Since I was rooted to the spot, he walked over to me and engulfed me in a bear hug.

"You have grown up Reyna", he whispered in my ear.
"Well.. So have you big K", I whispered back inhaling his perfume.

His laugh was like music to my ears.
