Now that I looked back , I was halfway through the year. Classes had begun long back and exams had become a routine. I was still without a roommate. No complains though ! I liked my time alone but like any other person I often felt homesick.
And.... Heartsick ?

After Nicky had left , nights had left me tossing and turning in bed. Not used to the feel of being alone , I sat late into the night on my computer doing what any other teenager does : watching movies , looking out for universities, reading about the marine life , reading otherwise, mailing my friends and family, movies again. I enjoyed sleeping long after the moon came up.
One such night, I was checking my emails when a one from NatGeo made me look up. A mail just meant one thing : Either I was accepted or I was not. At that moment, it certainly seemed like my life depended upon it.

Although I was a bad dancer (horrible actually) I jumped from my bed and did a happy dance. A dance with happiness as the music !
I quickly logged in and typed a quick mail to Nicky. She deserved it after all ! As I was typing , a mail popped up in my inbox. I checked the time to see if I had time to stay up late but the name made me forget everything. Made my heart run into a gallop.

K: Hi munchkin ! Up so late ?
Munchkin. He called me munchkin !
R: Hey ! Yeah ... Was working on my reports. Got accepted into NatGeo yay !
K: Whaat ?! I knew you would make it. I so knew it ! The photos are awesome honestly... Nicky showed 'em.
Thank heavens he wasn't here in person. Why was I blushing so much anyway ?
R: Thanks.
K: Hmm..
R: Soo ... Got a girl ? ;)
K: I have you :p
R: Stop flirting :p
K: Haha okay. Well ... No. Come back Rey. I miss you.
R: Sure ... I miss you too.
I logged off. I didn't want to make myself miserable.
