Chapter Ten - Chase's Story

"Soraaaa!" I ran up to him happily, I was jumping up and down. I was super excited for today, it was the birthday we both shared.

"There you are, Lily. I thought you got caught for a while. Don't scare me like that." He joked, patting her head.

"Is it time for the birthday gift swap?!" I asked super excitedly, I couldn't wait any longer.

"That's what I've been waiting on!" He laughed slightly, "You go first."

I revealed my present, which I was hiding behind my back, he looked at it and snatched it from my hands. It was a watch, made out of gold.

"Whoa! Lily you shouldn't of. Like seriously, that's expensive you can't steal something like that."

I giggled slightly and stuck out my tongue "I didn't steal it. Some rich kid made a deal with me. If I beat up some guy he didn't like, he'd give me the watch his dad bought him. But he doesn't wear watches."

Sora face lit up, he then smiled like an idiot. "Oh! Wow. Y-You went through so much for this... Thanks." He blushed and it made me giggle.

"Your turn! What did you get me? Huh? Huh?" I asked, trying to see what he had behind his back.

He smiled and revealed the gift, but it was in a box. I grabbed the box and started to open it.

My eyes fluttered open and she looked around. "Why the actual crap am I having all these dreams from years ago?" I muttered to myself as I started to get dressed.

After I got dressed I decided to go hang out in the Angel's hangout room. Since, it was the... Hangout room...

When I arrived there no one was it in.

Until I realized Chase was sitting in the corner, reading a comic book. He was so focused he didn't notice me right away.

"Hey Chase..." I said, hoping he didn't run away. But the moment the words slipped from my mouth he shot up like sonic. He looked really nervous, he started bowing like I was royalty and ran out the room. I sighed and sat down, starting to read a near by book.

Then I heard some faint voices from outside the room, being the snoopy girl I am, I got closer to the door and pressed my ear to the wall.

"Who was that?" A male voice asked, it was deep and cold. Sounded like someone from the Black Knights.

"That wimpy kid from Chase. He may seem wimpy but I've seen him in action. One of the best healers I've seen." A familiar voice told the other voice.

"Why is he so wimpy?" The other voice asked, sounding curious for the answer.

"From what I know, His mother died when he was seven from an illness that had no cure. His father started drinking a lot, he got drunk almost everyday. He started abusing Chase and His sister. About a day before Chase's eighth birthday his sister died from the same incurable illness. His father now spent all his time making Chase miserable. Finally, at the age nine, Chase packed some money and food and ran away. His father tried to stop him but failed miserably. Soon after chase heard that his father suicided, leaving chase alone. After that the headmaster found him one day about a year ago."

The voices got closer during the story, I finally realized they were outside the door.

"That's harsh." The deep and cold voice said.

"Yeah, now tell us again why we're going into the Angels hangout?"

Wait... What.

"Need to ask Luna something, I don't want to wait alone anyway.

The two voices walked in, One recognizable, one I had no idea he existed.

"K-Koji! Hi! Uh... Who is this?" I laughed nervously.

"We're you spying on us?" The cold voiced guy asked me, pushing his teeth together.

"Uh! Maybe a little..?"

"Zero, that's Lily. She's half fox, Lily. Zero." Koji introduced us. They both sat down afterwards.

I felt awkward, no, not even a word could explain how awkward this was.

"So what do you want with Luna..?" I asked Zero, trying to start conversation. Even though I knew it could tick him off.

He scoffed and smirked "Obviously, going to ask her one a date."

When he said that my jaw fell open, Kat walked in the room and saw the two boys. She looked surprised and saw me.

"Um... Why are they here, Lily? What's going on..?"
