Chapter Fifty Seven - Training

Lily sighed, her eyes blank as she walked into the training room.

The sweat smell and hot air snapped her back into reality. She looked around and saw everyone, all of them had different expressions as they worked.

"Lily!" Koji smiled, waving at her. She glared at him slightly and did a small wave. She bit her lip as she remembered that day for the hundredth time.

She walked into the other training room, connected to the first one, she walked over to the targets and got out her bow. She loaded it with an arrow and aimed at the target.

Lily pulled back and let go, the arrow swiftly hitting the target. Not in the middle, but very close.

Her shoulders sunk as she started to load the bow again. Suddenly, she felt a hand on her head. She turned around and saw Zero.

"Oy, stop being sad." He said, grabbing his own bow. All Lily could look at was the eye patch over his eye.

"It... might be hard... to use a bow without two eyes..." Lily muttered, loud enough so he could hear.

"I'm too good to quit being an archer." Zero chuckled, aiming at the target. He let go and the arrow hit right in the middle. 

Zero turned to Lily and smiled "See."

Lily frowned. "How can you be so happy?"

"....How can you be so sad?"

"H-huh?"

"They're dead. Gone. We can't get them back. But you did get one back, you got Koji back. Sonia knew how much you loved him, that's why he gave his life away so you could be happy." 

Zero took a deep breath.

"If Luna died... I'd do anything to get her back. But if she died, shes gone. I couldn't get her back. If Luna died, I'd end my own life to be with her."

Lily eyes widen a bit, she could feel her lips smile a bit.

"Even though she plays hard to get" He stuck his tongue out "i know she loves me."

Lily could feel her body grow warmer. "Why do I get cheered up so easily." she muttered, walking out of the second training room and back into the first one.

Zero rolled his eyes playfully and kept shooting his arrows.

Lily walked up to Koji who was practicing his kicks and punches. "Hey Koji!"

Koji jumped a bit, he turned at Lily and smiled widely. His face a bit red. "Lily! Hey..!"

Lily eyes sparkled. "Lets train together."

Koji eyes widen a bit. He nodded really quickly. "Yes! Lets do that!"

Luna was sitting outside the second training room, smirking to herself.

She heard everything that Zero said.

She looked up at the ceiling and closed her eyes. Thinking to herself, she repeated one thought. 

'I'm gonna kill that demon thing.'
