Chapter Fourteen - Deadly Mermaids

The morning arrived, colder the the last day. I rose from my slumber and gave a slight yawn and got on my feet.

Luna was already up n' ready and out the door so I decided to catch up. I brushed my teeth, got in my clothes, and ran out the door to look for the others. Surprisingly, they were all waiting for me.

"Lily! We decided to go on another mission!" Luna shouted at me, everyone was already armored up.

I nodded my head, Alex lead us back to the Mission Board and we searched for a new mission, one that wasn't to hard.

"W-What about t-this one?" Chase asked, pointing to a paper that looked like it was there a while.

Dear Blade.

My husband cheated on me!
It may sound like something I shouldn't call blade for but hear me out. There's a legend there lives a beautiful mermaid up in the mountains. She seduces men then eats them. My husband went up to the mountains and hasn't come back, it should take time for the mermaid to actually seduce him. So I know he's alive! Please help!!"

       A normal citizen, Nanny.

"Seems legit, let's do it. She's in Sodapop." Alex happily announced, starting to walk off to I'm guessing the horse barn.

We all followed behind her.

Finally we arrived at the barn and hopped onto our beloved horses. We started our way to Sodapop, which was only two hours away.

After a long, stressful, tiring two hours we arrived at Sodapop. The place was had a really strong smell to it. The kingdom was made out of candy, mostly fake though.

We walked in, I held my nose, and started looking for the girl who was missing her husband.

But shocking we didn't see a man in sight, not one. Soon, an old lady ran up to her. She had her hair in a messy bun and was sweaty.

"Are you from blade?!" She shrieked, obviously in a panic.

"Yes..? What's the matter--" Luna started saying but was cut off by the old woman's screaming.

"All the men! They're gone! Disappeared! It's the mermaid's doing we're sure of it. Go kill it! Please!"

She wasn't the only one, the whole way to the mountains girls from different ages, little girls, teenagers, young adults, just ran up to us and begged for help,

"Where is the king to this kingdom?!" I finally screamed out. Wondering why he wasn't doing anything.

"He was taken also!!" More girls screamed out. Starting to even cry.

After we heard that we rushed to this mountains, Blade was known for protecting royalty.

We made it to the mountain and where we were meant to go was clear, there a lighted up cave.

We walked in and saw a cage full of passed out men, all drooling.

"Hello~ you aren't boys...you are disgusting girls. Get out before I kill you..." We saw a beautiful mermaid, flapping her tail in the water.

For someone that beautiful I didn't expect her to be a deadly creature. We all got our weapons ready.

And my second battle in Blade has started.
