Chapter Thirty Eight - Punishment

Maui entered the cold, dusty dungeon. Looking down on Chester, who was smiling.

"Chester. It's time for your punishment. I finally decided what is appropriate."

Chester eyes narrowed, he clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes.

Maui raised an eyebrow.

Chester than smiled up at her, ear to ear. "Go ahead! I'm ready!"

Maui frowned, taking the knife she hid in her pocket out into the opening. And approaching Cheater.

Chase sat in a hard wooden chair. Next to Sonia's bed, who was happily talking to Chase.

"And then this one time, one of the butlers fell on top of my dad! He got up and thought he was going to get fired, but my dad! He laughed and gave him a raise!"

"W-wow...," Chase looked down, "Your d-dad seems awesome..."

"He is! I couldn't live without him!"

Chase bit his lip and stayed silent. Waiting for Sonia to say something else.

"...Did I say something I shouldn't of?"

"O-oh! No..! I-I'm okay...!"

"...Chase, Kat isn't your older sister. Right?"

"N-no... She isn't..!"

"Your family."

"H-huh?"

"W-what about... Your family? Y-you've never mentioned them..."

Chase started shaking, then the next thing he knew he was sobbing.

His tears getting the blanket sheets of Sonia's bed wet.

Alex was in my room, she was chatting with me about Alja.

More like Fangirling.

"He's just... so... HOT! And I've never realized how strong he is! He's dreamy, like a knight in shining armor! And oh my god, I cannot BELIEVE he isn't a warrior! I found out only recently that he's a martial artist, Like Koji!"

I rolled my eyes "Go ask him out already!"

"Should I!? You think he'll save yes?!"

"He went all that way to pick you up right? But don't get Romeo jealous." I chuckled, I didn't realize that Alex frowned.

"A-anyway! I'm going to go find him! And you, you can bring Sonia and we can have a double date!" She left the room without realizing I also frowned.

I sighed and got my stuff together. I was going to go find Luna and ask if we should go on a mission

Chester finally left the dungeon he lived in for of days. Even weeks.

The first place he went to was the Angel hangout, looking around for his teammates.

After he didn't find them, he turned and went to the main room. Trying to find someone to talk to.

He ran into Chase on the way there.

"Chaseeee! Hi!!!!"

"C-Chester!? You... You go-got out...?"

The first thing Chester noticed was his puffy red eyes.

He tilted his head.

"Have you been crying?"

"U-uh..! N-no! I-I'm..! E-eh..." Chase started to walk away, looking down in shame that he saw his eyes.

Chester grabbed his arms and smiled, showing him his left hand that was hidden in pocket.

The thumb and middle finger was cut off clean. And replaced with a robotic fingers.

"A-AH! Y-your...! Fingers, what happened!?!?!"

"My punishment!~~"
