Chapter Thirty Six - Our Secret

"Zero, stop ignoring me!" Luna hissed, waving her arms around. Attempting to make Zero look at her.

Zero's face was buried in a book. It seemed he didn't hear what Luna said.

"ZERO!"

"Gah?! W-What!?"

"I'm heading out-- Zero. Where did you get that book..?"

"Found it. It's about some bombing or something, not really sure. It's interesting--"

Luna glared at him, shock in her eyes. She stared down at the book. Bitting her lip.

"Am I not suppose to read it..?"

"Uh, I don't care. I'm heading out. I'll see you later?"

"Kk. Be careful my darling!~~"

Luna rolled her eyes, leaving the room with her sword. Zero jumped on the bed and stretched.

"Might as well take a nap!" He thought to himself, closing his eyes and drifting to bed....

Only to be disrupted by the door slamming open twenty minutes later.

"Zero, get your things. We're leaving."

Out of shock, Zero fell off the bed. Face planting. "Huh!? Why? The new mayor party isn't starting till tomorrow! We'll miss it!"

Luna rolled her eyes "For all I care the Mayor can be assassinated. Now move it!" She commanded, already packed up and ready to go.

Zero, so very confused, packed up also. Following Luna's orders.

They left the hotel, heading towards their horses.

But then there was an explosion, causing them to fall over.

Luna quickly regained her balance "Tch, not again...! C'mon Zero, run faster!"

Zero jumped up, looking around in confusion. He ran with Luna.

They jumped on their horses and sprinted off, faster then when they came here.

"What was THAT?!" Zero yelled, looking back at the sinister town.

"A bomb. Don't worry about it alright? Doesn't matter. Let's just head back. It was a bad idea coming here..."

Zero and Luna didn't say anything to each other. They just made their way back to Blade in pure silenced

"... How did you know?" Alex asked Romeo, looking down and tightening her fist.

"So many reasons!~ Aki, you thought changing your name, your hair color, even your EYE color would keep me from finding you? I noticed it was you the moment we met in that cage. My sweetheart~."

"Romeo, I was twelve when I told you I loved you. You tricked me into loving you. I absolutely hate you. Now let me leave." Alex said, her eyes not filled with happiness. But pure anger.

Romeo started stroking Alex's ears. Smiling to himself. "Aki, Aki, Aki."

"DON'T CALL ME THAT! MY NAME IS ALEX." Alex screamed, pushing Romeo on the ground.

Romeo laughed insanely, getting back up and pinning Alex to the wall.

"Why'd you leave me... Aki?" He whispered in her ear.

"I-I'm sorry Your Highness! I can't... I couldn't save her... I promise I tried everything I could..!" A nurse told the young prince, holding a corpse of a bunny.

The Prince smiled, not a kind one. But an insane one. "That's okkkkkaaayyy! I don't care, I have Aki! She's a bunny!~ She's all I need."

The nurse eyes sparkled with hope she looked up, the tears in her eyes fading. "R-really?"
