Thank god for Poptarts, or my mornings would suck. I was waiting for my s'mores to pop from the toaster, while eating some whole cereal. Thank god I'm not vegan, I tried that but it was way too hard. Yeah, yeah Poptarts aren't organic or even remotely beneficial to the planet but once in awhile you need your taste of something that's not allowed.

Sue me.

My dad comes into the kitchen, wearing his nicest casual clothes, well a teeshirt that says Hemp does it best that I had bought him for his birthday two years ago and some cargo shorts.

"Hey Mer, heads up those boys are coming again, but it won't last long, I got a call last night and apparently  that Chloe Mortez girl needs a tutor, something happened to hers. I have to head over there in two hours for a meeting. They heard I was working with One Direction and wanted me immidiately." He smiled. I got off my chair and hugged him.

"Dad! That's amazing!" I was a huge fan of Chloe, and I could not wait for Carrie to come out.

"But get this, the pay is absolutely amazing! We might finally have some extra cash!" He chuckled nervously. Money had always been tight for us since Mom left, and I would never forgive her for that.

"Hey don't you start your job today?" My dad breaks the hug.

"Nah, I start on Monday. I don't work weekends." I shrug and go fetch my poptarts.

"Hey, what's up with that scholarship of yours?" He asks. I was lined up for a huge scholarship at Standford for biology research and other animal related sciences. I had graduated a year early, due to my genius brain, and Standford had been after me since the ninth grade. I know, in the world of science I was kinda a big deal.

"I start next spring, I'm leading the research team." I smile smugly. They had already mailed me my Standford hoodie, along with my lab coat, name badge, and a regestration package. I was basically set. They had also covered living expenses by renting me my own appartment. It was really exciting.

"Remind me to get a tee shirt that says "My Daughter's a Genius." He winks. Then the doorbell rings.

"Come in!" I shout. Five boys come piling into the house, all looking chipper except Harry.

"Here you go Dean! Three boys eager to learn and Harry!" Louis exclaims. He pats Harry's back, which Harry is quick to shoo away. "Now now Harry, if I hear that you are giving Dean here a hard time, your ass is mine. Understood." Harry shoves Louis out the door. Louis barely has time to shout goodbye before the door shuts in his face.

"Can we get this over with please?" Harry asks. Dad sighs and gestures to the living room.

"Alright boys, so I assume you all did your reading?" They all nodded proudly. I just observed and ate my poptarts.

"Nope, I got busy." Harry said nonchalantly. I snorted from the counter.

"Getting laid doesn't count dingbat." I say. Harry shoots me a glare and I return the biggest, fakest smile I can muster.

"Harry, it was only a chapter, less then fifteen pages! How could you... you know what? It's fine. Just please read it by tomorrow." My dad let out yet another sigh, Harry was really getting him down. Harry puts his hands behind his head and sits back smugly. God I hate him.

"Okay so anyways, I want you all to write a single page essay, or two pages if you double space, about the relationship between the main characters in the first chapter. That's it! Simple. Pick one emotion that standsout to you that is shared between the two and explain it's impact on the story so far. Is that understood? Any questions?" Everyone shook their heads, except Harry who raised his hand.
