Chapter 18

Jay's POV...

I watched as Sophia and the warden walked out of the room together confused about this whole thing.

"Dude? What the hell was all that about?" Matt whispered leaning over so no one else could hear though everyone started talking again now that the warden is gone.

"I dont know it must be a very important visiter if the warden is going with her, unless it has to do with Nick the asshole that shot her" i suggested.

"How is she by the way, i mean she did nearly die, has she been in any pain or anything?" Matt asked conserned.

"Nah shes been fine that i know of, i mean she hasnt said anything about it so i assume shes fine"

"Well that goo-" he was cut off by the medical alarm coming from a different area, matt looked at me wide eyed.

"Sophia" he said shocked, oh shit it cant be, the wardens with her he wouldnt let anything happen to her, right?

"Shit" i jumped to my feet, matt doing the same and we ran to the food hall entrance, thankfully with the medical alarm we dont have to stay were we are.

We ran across the court yard and went threw the open doors leading to the visiters hall, when we got inside guards were scattered around the room facing the same way, we pushed our way threw until we got to the opening where we saw Sophia on the ground out cold, the warden and her mother sitting on the ground next to her holding her hand while the prison nurse checks her vitals.

"Sophia?" I said both the warden and his mum looked up at me as i ran to her and knelt next to her taking her head in my hand.

"What the hell happened to her?" I asked no one in particular.

"She had a panic attack and passed out" Sophias mother said.

A stretcher was brought in and layed down, we all helped carefully put her onto the stretcher then she was taken away, the guards left the room so it was only me, matt, Sophia's mother and the warden.

"I dont understand, shes healthy how is she having panic attacks?" I asked, all they did was shug.

Seeing as we werent aloud to go with Sophia to the hospital seperate guards took out, one took matt back to the lunch room and i was taken to my cell where i wanted to be, if i couldn't be with her then why would i wanna be around a bunch of annoying prisoners, obviously i dont mean matt but the others.

I spent the rest of the day in my cell reading sleeping and just stareing off in to space.

Knock knock!

The door opened before i could answer and was greeted by the warden and officers Milton and Martin.

I stood up from my bed and hand shook the men and kissed Milton on the cheeks to show my manners.

"Hello Jay"

"Hey sir, ma'am and other sir, What can i do for you guys?" I asked.

"Well as you know Sophia was taken to hospital this morning, i thought it best to give you all an update so ive gathered you all here so i can let you know together" the warden said sitting down on my bed.

"Is she alright sir?" Officer Milton asked.

"Technically yes she is going to be okay but the doctors think it best that she stay in hospital for a few days"

"What? Why?" I asked sitting next to him.

"Well you see when she was shot by Nick her heart didnt heal properly and this morning she got herself worked up breathing heavily stuff like that but her heart couldn't keep up with her panic attack and well she ended up having a heart attack" everyone in the cell became wide eyed at the news.

Heart attack!

What the hell?

"You've got to be kidding me? A heart attack, how serious?" Officer Martin asked.

"Quite serious im afraid, the doctors fear if she has another heart attack she might not make it next time, so ive gathered you all here because we have a problem"

"She cant die, this is fucked, i cant loose her she is the best thing that has happened to this place"

"I know Jay im quite upset about it myself she deffinatly grows on you"

"What did you need us to do sir?" Milton asked.

"Right well as i was saying we have a serious problem, her mother was here this morning to visit her and as you all know i went with her and well the reason she was her was to inform Sophia that her twin sister Sophie is sueing her"

"WHAT???" The three of us yell together, i jumped to my feet outraged.

"Is this some sort of joke? That bitch cant be serious, Sophia wont be able to take it if she goes to that trial, i mean its her blood twin going up against her" i was furious, who the hell does this bitch think she is? Obama?

"What are the charges?" The warden stood up and put his hand on my shoulder, i took that as a sign to calm down so i took a deep breath and relaxed.

"The charges are assult and endangerment to her unborn child" i rolled my eyes at that.

"She doesnt care about that baby, Sophia told me what her sister is like if anything her pride is wounded and she is using the baby as an excuse to get Sophias sentence extended as much as possible, maybe i should sue her see how she likes being in jail"

"Oh yeah and what grounds would you charge her on?" The warden asked crossing his arms but smiling so i knew he was joking around.

"For being a bitch for starters, and potentially risking the life of my girlfriend what would that be called manslaughter before it happens or something, i dont no something rather to lock her away, her ego can get a peice of reality if shes locked up maybe then she'll learn to leave well enough alone"

"Son i know your worried about Sophia trust me so are we but this is out of our hand this is between Sophia and Sophie we need to stay out of it but that doesnt mean we cant be there for Sophia if she asks or needs us, for now though, would you like to go visit her?"

"Yes, yes absolutely" i said excited to see her.

"Alright tomorrow the two guards here with take you there i unfortunatly cant go because i have an important meeting with Nick and his lawyer, for now i will leave you to get you sleep i need to go fill out you day pass forms so then you can go, so goodnight Jay" we shook hands.

"Goodnight sir" he waved then left the room.

"Alright well tomorrow after you shower we will give you civilian clothing again, and then you have your breakfast, we will pick you up from the food hall and go straight to the hospital, how does that sound?" Officer Martin said.

"Yes sir that sounds perfect"

"Good then well we will leave and let you get some sleep, goodnight"

"Goodnight Officers"

"Goodnight Jay" Officer Milton said before they both left closing and locking the door.

I got into bed and layed there until i finally fell asleep excited for tomorrow when i can see Sophia.
