John Allen mentally prepared himself as the Studio tech gave a hand signal which indicated a minute to go before his broadcast would begin.

  “We are live in five, four, three, two and.” The ARNN Studio Technician said to the cameraman activated the broadcast feed which would be seen by a few trillion Alcasians.

    “Welcome to Afternoon Reports on Alcasian Republic News Network, I’m John Allen.” John Allen said. “Debates continue in the Senate concerning the ratification of the Treaty of Mutual Defense and Alliance Between the Alcasian Republic and Amdronian Group Alliance. President Acres gives more details about the treaty at his daily press briefing.”

     At Brigadier General Tom Widan’s apartment, the broadcast feed on the videoscreen switched over to the Presidental Building’s press room. A dozen or so news correspondents from the Alcasian Republic News Network, Lennian Republic News Network, Gersan Republic News Network, and various other news agencies throughout the Alcasian Galaxy were showed seated in two sections.

      The podium at the front of the room had the seal of the Alcasian Republic affixed to it. The ARNN Cameraman zoomed in as President Acres entered the press room and adjusted the communicator.

      “As you may be aware, the Alcasian Republic is currently in talks with the Amdronian Group Alliance to form an alliance with them.” President Acres said to the room of reporters. “During the last few weeks, the Alcasian Federation with support from the Sarian Federation, Sancalian Federation, Kanalsian Federation, and Lisalian Federation has been inflicting heavy losses on our forces.

       “My counterpart in the 4th Amderestan Republic, President Brians along with other government leaders in the Amdronian Group Alliance have collectively signed a Mutual Defense Treaty that includes a Status of Forces Agreement. Hopefully, the presence of Amdronian Group Alliance Military Combat Assault Groups will turn the tide of this war.”

       “Mark Jacobsan, Lennian Republic News Network.” A Reporter in the front said as he stood up. “Let me get this straight, the Alcasian Republic is allowing forces from the Amdronian Group to become involved in your internal affairs, but haven’t considered the Lennian Republic, Gersan Republic, or the Derrans Republic which all border the Alcasia Galaxy.”

    “Mr. Jacobs, the Alcasian Republic is under armed attack by the Eastern Group Alliance which is currently in a state of war against the 4th Amderestan Republic, and the rest of the Amdronian Group Alliance. For that reason, I’ve requested the deployment of Combat Assault Groups to bolster our defensive lines.”

      Another reporter with Gersan Republic News Network stood up in the rear section. “Andrew Eppsen, GRNN. Will the presence of Amdronian Group Alliance Military Forces bring an end to this war?”

      “Honestly, that would depend on the ARMCOS and the Amdronian Group Alliance Military Allied Field Command.” President Acres responded to Andrew Eppsen. “Any more questions?”

     Several reporters began to direct questions towards President Acres which mostly pertained to the likelyhood of a no-confidence vote in the Prime Minister’s leadership.

    “At this time, I don’t have all of the details pertaining to the possible no confidence vote.” President Acres responded. “Besides, I have the upmost confidence in Prime Minister Vellas’ leadership and look forward to continue working with and alongside him.”

     Several days later on the Anacoda, a number of damage control teams entered the Engineering section of the vessels which had a number of raging coolant fires. The Alcasian Republic Military officers and enlisted personnel dressed in protective gear slowly began to put the blazes out.
