At the scanner control console, Alcasian Federal Military Captain Gerrans who had a tactical view of the Merridan Sectors displayed on the scanner console's tactical display noticed a lack of Alcasian Republic Military transponder signatures.

Normally each scanner array station, communication array reception transmission station, orbital weapon platform, and orbital base would be visible to scanners. however, in the Merridan Sectors, the Alcasian Republic Military personnel onboard every orbital installation, and vessel were ordered to disable their transponders and go to quiet level one.

Alcasian Federal Military Captain Gerrans turned his attention to Alcasian Federal Military Commander Kevins seated at the command console. "Sir, scans aren't detecting any Alcasian Republic Military orbital installations or combat assault groups whatsoever."

Before Alcasian Federal Military Commander Kevins could respond, seated at the communications console with an earpiece chimed in. "Not only that, there's no chatter from any of those installations or vessels."

"So?" Alcasian Federal Military Commander Kevins repiled to his first watch bridge communications officer and first watch bridge scanner officer. "They are not expecting an attack. If they were, they would have-"

Alcasian Federal Military Captain Reyen chimed in mid-sentence. "Sir, can't raise any of our combat assault groups on any of our frequencies."

Slowly, the gravity of the situation was becoming apparent to the Alcasian Federal Military personnel onboard , their Alcasian Republic Military counterparts were being lured into a trap. However, with communications jammed, Alcasian Federal Military Captain Reyen seated at the Axxenia's bridge communications console was unable to broadcast any kind of warning.

As the 262,144,400 Alcasian Federal Military starships, cruisers, and destroyers which comprised AFM Combat Assault Groups Omega-Alpha-01 continued straight towards the seemingly quiet Merridan Sectors, the Alcasian Republic Military personnel onboard each scanner array station, communication array reception transmission station, orbital weapon platform, and orbital base, plus those onboard the starships, cruisers, and destroyers watched and waited to strike when the timing was right.

Over the next few days, the same situation was repeated by the Alcasian Republic Military forces in the Meddas Sectors, Merral Sectors, Messan Sectors, and Merris Sectors. "There should be an bunch of Alcasian Republic Military transponder signatures, especially here within the Merridan Sectors, Meddas Sectors, Merral Sectors, Messan Sectors, and Merris Sectors." Along the 25,000 light-year stretch of space which seperated the southern districts of the Alcasian Federation controlled Berras Sectors, Bellan Sectors, Brican Sectors, Bellans Sectors, Bestan Sectors from the Alcasian Republic Military controlled Merridan Sectors, Meddas Sectors, Merral Sectors, Messan Sectors, and Merris Sectors, each group of Alcasian Republic Military scanner personnel on duty onboard each of the scanner array stations and orbital bases continued to monitor the five groups of Alcasian Federal Military starships, cruisers, and destroyers as they crossed the border into Alcasian Republic space.
