Chapter Twenty

During those same six weeks in the 25,000 light-year by 1,000 light-year Agarin Sectors, Aton Sectors, Kinnan Sectors, Medan Sectors, and Allejan Sectors, the Alcasian Republic Military personnel onboard each group of 262,144,400 starships, cruisers, and destroyers continued the space-based attacks against those onboard the groups Alcasian Federal Military starships, crusiers, and destroyers which continued to launch attacks into the 5,000 by 250 light-year areas of space constituting the Agarin Sectors, Aton Sectors, Kinnan Sectors, Medan Sectors, and Allejan Sectors Nothern Districts.

As the space-based fighting raged on between the Alcasian Republic Military Combat Assault Groups and Alcasian Federal Military Combat Assault Groups, many of the Alcasia-class starships, crusiers, and destroyers were either damaged, destroyed, or captured by one side or the other.

Meanwhile on the planets within each 5,000 light-year by 250 light-year area of space, Alcasian Republic Military personnel in and around the thousands of towns and cities on those planets prepared themselves for eventual ground-based and air-based attacks from those on the Alcasian Federal Military side. Likewise, the Alcasian civilians in those towns and cities also prepared themselves for what would most likely be several days or even weeks worth of intense street-to-street and building-to-building urban warfare between those on both sides of the conflict.

As the last two weeks of January 90,056 came and went, the Alcasian Republic Military infantry assault groups on the planets within the Northern and North Central Districts of the 25,000 light-year by 1,000 light-year Agarin Sectors, Aton Sectors, Kinnan Sectors, Medan Sectors, and Allejan Sectors, and those on the planets within the Northern and North Central Districts of the Alkens Sectors, Berars Sectors, Nerrans Sectors, Lerrabs Sectors, Peeras Sectors, Weesan Sectors, Linns Sectors, Wren Sectors, and Cellsas Sectors, found themselves on the defensive as the Alcasian Federal Military infantry assault groups gained the upper hand.

This caused each group of 409,600 Alcasian Republic Military officers and enlisted personnel to retreat into the towns and cities on each of the planets. There each group of battle-weary officers and enlisted personnel fought street-to-street and building-to-building to keep the thousands of towns and cities on each planet under Alcasian Republic control.

By the afternoon of Febuary 1, 90,056, many of the Alcasian Republic Military Infantry Assault Groups on those planets found their units either low on ordinance for their weapons or out of ordinance. This prompted many of groups of Infantry Assault groups each constituting 409,600 officers and enlisted personnel to consider whether or not to continue fighting or surrender.

After consideration of their options, many of the Alcasian Republic Military infantry assault groups on the planets within the Northern and North Central Districts of the 25,000 light-year by 1,000 light-year Agarin Sectors, Aton Sectors, Kinnan Sectors, Medan Sectors, and Allejan Sectors surrendered one after the other to the Alcasian Federal Military forces.

News of their surrender made it's way from the five Alcasian Republic Military Field Command Headquarters on Agarin One, Aton One, Kinnan One, Medan One, and Allejan One via the Alcasian Republic Military Information Service to the Alcasian Republic Defense Ministry's war room.

This greatly concerned Alcasian Republic President John Acres, Alcasian Republic Prime Minister Vellas, Alcasian Republic Defense Minister Greg Thomas, ARMCOSC Alcasian Republic Military Commander Mark Terrans, and rest of the Alcasian Republic Military Chiefs of Staff gathered around the real-time three-dimensional holographic map of the Alcasia Galaxy.

"Well, things seem to be wrapping up between the Amderestans and the STPLA forces." Alcasian Republic President John Acres commented to those gathered in the Alcasian Republic Defense Ministry's war room.
