Onboard the Alcasian Federal Military destroyer Axxenia's bridge, Alcasian Federal Military Captain Gerrans who had just came on duty, sat down at the scanner control console and conducted long range scans of the 5,000 by 250 light-year northern district.

Again, the tactical display continued to indicate there were no Alcasian Republic Military scanner array stations, communications array reception transmission stations, orbital weapon platforms, orbital bases in and around the planetary systems

Likewise, who had just came on duty and took his seat at the bridge's communications console, resumed his attempt to hopefully break the communications jamming which had prevented ship-to-ship transmissions for the past ten days.

Over at the bridge weapon control console, looked over at Alcasian Federal Military Commander Kevins. "Sir, should I raise shields and activate weapons?"

At the command console, Alcasian Federal Military Commander Kevins thought for a moment then replied. "Negative, that would signal that we know their plan to draw us in then attack."

"Understood, sir." Alcasian Federal Military Admiral Kalkin responded to his commanding officer.

Meanwhile on one of the Alcasian Republic Military controlled orbital bases near the course of the Alcasian Federal Military destroyer Axxenia, the Alcasian Republic Military personnel continued to watch as the 262,144,400 Alcasian Federal Military starships, cruisers, and destroyers which comprised AFM Combat Assault Groups Omega-Alpha-01 continued their advance into the Merridan Sectors Northern District.

"Aarons, Jacobsons, and Mitchell, any change regarding AFMCAGs Omega-Alpha-01?." Alcasian Republic Military Commander Jackson asked the three scanner control officers on duty.

"No change, still continuing their advance and they haven't even activated their vessels' weapons and shields yet." Aarons responded from the scanner control console to the left of where Alcasian Republic Military Commander Jackson stood.

walked over to the intercom and spoke. "CO to Armory, raise shields, lock weapons on the Axxenia and prepare to fire on my order."

"Understood, sir." An Alcasian Republic Military armory officer replied through the intercom.

In the Orbital base's armory, several Alcasian Republic Military personnel loaded missiles and torpedeos into the forward launchers, targeted towards the current course of the Alcasian Federal Military destroyer Axxenia, and waited for the order to fire.

As the next couple of minutes went by, watched the targeting display on the weapon control console as the Alcasian Federal Military destroyer Axxenia, and the other Alcasian Federal Military starships, cruisers, and destroyers behind got closer.

A moment later, Alcasian Republic Military Commander Jackson's voice came over the intercom unit. "Fire."

Alcasian Republic Military Captain Andrews fired the currently loaded missiles and torpedeos from the orbital base's forward launchers towards the Alcasian Federal Military destroyer Axxenia.

Onboard the Alcasian Federal Military destroyer Axxenia, seated at the bridge scanner control console continued to scan area of space ahead of the Axxenia's course unware of the oncoming danger headed towards them.

Suddenly, several impacts and explosion were heard and felt as the missiles and torpedeos launched from a nearby Alcasian Republic Military orbital base impacted the docking bays, armory, and engineering section of the Axxenia.
