Chapter 2 - Love letters and standing up

Bethany's point of view
It was around 7pm, and there was a knock on the door. I opened it and nobody was there. I looked down to see 2 heart shaped boxes of chocolate, and a letter in a fancy envelope. I lifted up the things and went back into my room. The envelope read Bethany Casper in fancy handwriting, so I'm guessing it's for me. I slowly opened it up, and it said: Dear Bethany, I know you don't like me in that way, but I'd thought this would be nice. I just wanted to say your a beautiful girl. Blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes. You definitely stand out, because your not like other girls. Love you Betnay! <3! Sincerely, Man that likes you.

It could be a few guys actually. It could be Spencer Goldman because he likes me. But I'm thinking, it's definitely Joshua Anderson! He has a HUGE crush on me! I opened the box of chocolates, and they were shaped like hearts too! I bit one and it was so yummy! I hid it under my clean bed, so mum wouldn't see.

It was the next day, and I woke up happier then I ever was in a while! I jumped out of bed the same time as yesterday p, and did the same thing as yesterday. I wore a denim jacket and a black dress. (You'll see more detail in the picture). I was done getting ready, and all was left was my hair, my makeup was already done. I put my hair up into a fishtail braid and I was all ready. My brother Alex was sick, so it was just me going to school. I grabbed my backpack and ran out the door and into my car to get to school.

I arrived at school, and ran by the fountain to get a drink of water. I poured the water in the paper cups that were provided, and sipped some. "Hi Bethany!" Elissa laughed evily.
"Leave me alone Elissa!" I fought back.
"Is the little wimp afraid? Go back to the homeless shelter, where you belong!" Elissa yelled.
"Elissa, leave her alone!" Joshua yelled.
"Josh, stay outta this!" Elissa yelled.
"I'll tell the teacher," Joshua laughed.
"No, please don't!" Elissa cried and ran off with Valerie. I just stood there, in shock and full of embarrassment being a victim of bullying. "Guess she's the one who's scared," Joshua laughed.
"Ha. Uh... T-thanks for standing u-up for me..." I said, full of embarrassment.
"Anytime!!" Joshua smirked. We were interrupted by the bell, so we made our way to class.

It was 3rd period, and it was ELA again! We all got our essays handed in. I was nervous for my grade. About 15 minutes later, they were already graded and passed back to the class. I got an A. I peered over at Elissa's grade, and she got a B- . "Ugh!! You got a better grade?" Elissa whined at me.
"Uh, it's because I never wrote something mean about someone!" I explained. She screamed and walked back to her seat.

FINALLY school was over. I drove back home and walked in the door,and threw my bookbag onto the ground by they stairs. "Bethany, can you help me with supper?" Mrs. Casper asked.
"Of course I will mom! Anything to help out," I explained.
