Bethany's point of view
It's Friday, and I have to go back to school. The past few days have been really sad. I slowly got up out of my bed at regular time, 7am and began to undress out of my night cloths. I put on the outfit I picked out [Picture above] and began to curl my hair. I do my makeup and go downstairs to see my mom in a tense/sad mood. "You alright mom?" I asked.
"I'll be fine baby. I'll be fine," Mrs. Casper fake smiled.
I could tell she was stressing, but what for? She slowly got up from her chair, and nudged me out the door, and she followed me behind and began to drive rapidly to school. We arrived and she waved goodbye, and waited a minute before she left again.
When I entered the school, everyone was asking questions. "Did you brother die from allergies because of you? Haha!" One girl asked. I just ignored the comment. I realized that Jessica, Hailey or Tanya weren't my friends anymore. I guess they just hate me now. I opened my locker, and Joshua acted a little different. "Hey Bethany!" Joshua smiled and continued walking. I closed my locker and grabbed his hand. "What's wrong with you? Your acting strange!" I asked.
"It's hard to explain ok!" Joshua yelled. Tears were welling in his eyes.
"You can tell me anything! I'm your girlfriend!" I smiled.
"It's my mom...." Joshua started to cry.
"And?" I asked slowly.
"S-she killed herself last night!" Joshua cried and hugged me tight.
"What? Why?" I asked in shock.
"She was stressed because of my dad going off and drinking and stuff.." Joshua explained.
He explained more, and the bell rung so we made our way to class.
"So class, turn to page 27 in your health books!!" Mr. Sanders explained. Everyone did as we were told. As we got into the lesson, I raised my hand. "Yes Bethany?" Mr. Sanders asked.
"May I be excused to the bathroom?" I asked.
He nodded, and I walked casually to the bathroom. As I entered I just looked at myself in the mirror. I smiled and used the bathroom, like I was suppose to.
After school, I went into the parking lot, and mom was not there. I called her on my cellphone (sorry, I just had to!). "Hello dear!" Mrs. Casper said innocently.
"Where the heck are you!?!?" I yelled.
"I'm just at my boy- my friends house. I'll be there in 5!" Mrs. Casper laughed.
"Okay? Love you. Bye!" I said and hung up.
Is Mrs.Casper dating someone and Bethany doesn't know? Is Bethany's dad really dead??
