Bethany's point of view
I woke up to the house phone ringing. I ran downstairs and answered it. "Hello?" I said half asleep.
"Sorry to wake you guys at 5am, but it's an emergency. We need you and your mom at the hospital now!!" Dr. Benson explained.
"Alright, right away!" I cried in fear and hung up. I called out to mom, and we made our way to the hospital in our pjs.
We pulled into the hospital and ran into the emergency section, and into Alex's room. "I'm sorry, he's dying!" Dr. Benson cried.
"I love you mom. I love you Bethany!" Alex choked.
"I love you Alex. I really do!!" I cried, tears flooding.
"Bye Alex. Love you so so much!!" Mrs. Casper cried.
"Goodbye!" Alex said and shut his eyes for internal sleep. I burst into tears and squeezed mom into a hug.
"I'm sorry.." Dr. Benson cried and hugged us both.
We left the hospital a half hour later, crying our eyes out. We had to call the school, and let them know about Alex. I was NOT going to school today, in a horrible state like this.
I laid on my bed, and it was around lunch time. I looked at pictures of Alex on my Facebook, and teared up. I got interrupted by text messages.
From Joshua: Hey it's lunch break. Where are you?
To Joshua: I have a great reason for not coming to school Josh...
From Joshua: what is it?
To Joshua: My brother died this morning @6
From Joshua: Oh babe, I'm so sorry 😭
To Joshua: Can you come over after school?
From Joshua: Anything to make my pumpkin happy :)
To Joshua: Thanks babe, ttyl
From Joshua: Bye sweetie. Fell better soon about your brother
To Joshua: thanks bye

It was after school, and Joshua showed up. He walked into my room, to see me crying in my pjs. "Babe, what's wrong? I'm here now!" Joshua whispered in my ear. He sat down on my bed with me, and he hugged me tight.
"I-I miss A-Alex-x!" I stuttered while crying.
"It's ok. I'm sorry!!" Joshua whispered and kissed my check.
After a while, I calmed down. Joshua told me a funny story about today!! "Yep, that's right. Elissa got in trouble for chewing gum in class!" Joshua laughed.
"HAHAHAHA! She deserved it!" I burst out laughing.
"Oh yeah. She did!!" Joshua laughed.
