"9....8...7...6....5....4....3...2..HAPPY NEW YEARRRR!" Everyone in the building, including myself, screamed.

"Damn man, can you believe we made it another year?" Draymond said hitting my back.

"Yeah man. This year is our year, we need a championship. Thirty-seven years without a ring is too damn long." I said repeating my new years resolution; to bring home a Championship trophy to the Bay.

"Aye, you know it man."

"I'm finna get out of here though." I said picking up my cup.

"You and Cara got plans?" He asked smirking.

"Mm....I guess you could say that."

"My man," He said smiling, "handle that my boy. Ima catch you later." He said as some girl caught his eye and he wondered off after her.

I pulled my iPhone out of my pocket and called for my car to be pulled around front.

While I was waiting, I leaned against a wall and let my thoughts wander, they've been doing that a lot lately. This time, however, my thoughts decided to reflect over everything that's been going on the past few years.

After Ayesha left, I tried my best to get her back for the following four months. Until I realized, if God wanted me to have her, he'd bring her back.

After that, I mainly focused my time and effort into basketball and progressing my craft. I cut out women completely aside from a few drunken hookups every now and then.

Last year I began seeing an actor, Cara Lee to be exact. We're actually in a good space and she takes my mind off of Ayesha.

However, I have been seeing a lot of her lately in magazines. Apparently, she's started her own fitness clothing line. But I'm happy for her and I really hope everything goes how she wants it.

Soon, I seen my all white rolls royce being driven around the corner. The valet hopped out and handed me my keys.

"Have a good night Mr. Curry." He said with a smile.

I thanked him and handed him a 100 dollar bill.

"Oh sir I can't it's my jo-"

"Keep it." I said thanking him again and hopping in my car.

I put the key in the ignition and sped off down the road.

After showering, I threw my phone on the bed and grabbed a some black jeans, Timbs, and a black shirt. After getting dressed I threw on my chain and some cologne.

I began to look around the bathroom for my comb to comb out my hair but I was interrupted by my phone ringing. I gave up on finding the comb and grabbed my phone off the bed.

"Hello?" I said trying to pull my shoe on.

"Hey babe, I was just calling to let you know I'm ready."

"Alright, let me finish getting ready and I'll be over."

"That don't make any sense. You take longer than me getting dressed." She said laughing.

"Cause I gotta match yo' fly." I laughed.

She laughed loud over the line. "Whatever babe. Hurry up and get dressed, I miss you."
