Stephen Curry
"YOU DID WHAT?" I asked with big eyes. Apparently my mom thought it would be okay to invite Ayesha to dinner tonight.
She popped my arm and I calmed down rubbing it.
"Boy don't talk to me like that. And I invited her because I haven't seen her in a long time and it would be great to catch up. And she broke up with you Steph, she didn't break up with the rest of us." She said as Seth laughed, spitting out the Gatorade he was drinking.
I sent him a death glare as he put his hands up retreating out of the kitchen.
"Well I don't think I'm going to be able to m-" I started before she cut me off.
"Don't even try it Wardell Stephen. You're gonna be here, end of discussion." She said going back to chopping onions.
I picked up my phone off the counter walking upstairs, and went to text Cara.
I told her that dinner was off, I lied of course, but I didn't want her and Ayesha in the same place at once.
Not because they'd have a problem, it would just be awkward for me.
She texted back that it was okay and she was just going to go visit her sister.
I sat on my old bed and threw a basketball up at the ceiling, catching it as it came down.
I turned on sports center listening to Stephen A. Smith carry on about something. I watched espn as my eyes slowly closed for a much needed nap.
I woke up thirty minutes later to voices talking downstairs. I hopped up and went into my bathroom washing my face and hands. After washing up, I went downstairs to see Sydel, my mom, and Ayesha talking in the kitchen. Ayesha looked gorgeous, even better than the last time I saw her. She had on a checkered shirt, jeans, and flats with her hair pulled into a side ponytail. Simple, but cute.
"Hi Steph." She said giving me a small smile.
"Hey." I said sitting on the stool across the counter.
"Yall stop acting like strangers, properly greet each other." My mom said, eyeing us.
I sighed, getting up and hugging her. "Nice to see you again." She said in my ear. I smiled a little returning back to my seat.

I glanced at them as I stirred the beans in the pot, careful not to over cook them. I don't know why they're acting like they don't know each other, it's ridiculous. But I always have something up my sleeve.
"Ah shoot, I'm out of green peppers." I said shaking my head. "Steph, Ayesha, could you run to the store and pick me up some?" Steph's head shot up, ready to debate but I sent him a look as he sighed, nodding his head.
"Sure mom." He huffed, getting off of his stool with Ayesha following behind him.
Ayesha Alexander
Steph and I walked out to his jeep as he tossed me the keys. I looked up at him, confused.
"I don't really feel like driving, can you do it?" He asked giving me puppy dog eyes. I rolled my eyes getting in the drivers seat, pulling off.
"So..." Steph said trying to make small talk.
