Chapter Fourteen - A Night to Remember.

Arnold and Helga had had an amazing time at the fair. They first went to the giant live snow globe to get some pictures taken.

The first picture was of them next to a snowman. Arnold was leaning against it while Helga stuck two fingers like bunny ears up behind the snowman.

The next picture was of Helga and Arnold having a snow ball fight. This was Helga's personal favourite photo as the camera had caught the moment her snowball smacked into Arnold's face.

The next photo was of Arnold and Helga sitting in the snow watching the snowflakes fall from the machine above.

Helga sighed as she leaned back. Her hand was on top of Arnold's for a few seconds as she blushed. Arnold noticed as he looked at Helga who immediately removed her hand and turned away while scowling and crossing her arms.

Arnold turned his head away and as soon as he did, Helga's face changed to a happy, trembling face while placing her hand on her heart.

Arnold had caught a glance of Helga's happy face and smiled before turning back around, making the decision not to ask Helga about it.

As they walked out and brushed the snow off their clothes, Helga went to the photo booth and bought all three photos. She gave Arnold the first one with the snowman. He smiled at it and laughed at Helga with the snowman.

Helga also kept the photo of the snow ball fight as she loves it and found it hilarious. Arnold also let her keep the last one of them sitting in the snow.

While Arnold's head was turned away while deciding what to go on next, Helga looked carefully at the third picture. The photo had caught the moment that Helga's hand was on top of Arnold's. She swooned quietly before following Arnold who hadn't noticed.

For the rest of the night, they had gone back on the bumper carts and had a contest to see who could bump the most. Of course, Helga won.

They went back on the "Winter Wheel" in Cart 9. Helga loved how it rocked and shook but Arnold felt a bit sick after, much to Helga's amusement.

And they even played the water game again and Arnold got his little revenge; By squatting Helga with his gun. She growled at him but he smirked and winked at her. She lightened up as she smiled back.

After, the Winter Fair was coming to a close. Arnold and Helga walked out with two giant marshmallow chocolate treats in their hands.

As the munched on them, Arnold turned to Helga "Well, it might have got off badly at the start but I have to say, I had a great time with you Helga"

Helga replied "Same here, football head!" As she punched his arm, lightly.

Arnold asked "Shall we do it again next year?"

Helga blinked as she filled with joy. Her love wanted to go again with her.

She giggled nervously "Y-yeah, sure, why n-not?" She then shook her head as she sternly told Arnold "But don't go thinking this was a date! Or that next year is a date, Arnoldo!"

She crossed her arms and looked away while a smile crept on her face.

Arnold was smiling at her, he knew her so well now as he rolled his eyes and smiled happily "Ok, Ok! Just as "friends" then"

Helga faced him and spread her awkward smile into a big happy grin. Arnold then said "C'mon, I'll walk you home"

She nodded as they both walked out together.

Meanwhile, Sid, Harold and Stinky zoomed past as they hid behind the toilets.

They panted and sniggered as they saw and heard three security guards go past as they looked for the three boys who had stole the giant bear.

Sid then grabbed a camera from his pocket as she giggled "Say cheese!"

The camera clicked as it produced a picture of the trio with the giant bear.

They laughed loudly as tears formed in their eyes. Harold sighed as he wiped a tear away "So, what are we going to do with it now?"

Sid and Stinky stopped laughing as they looked at each other. What were they going to do with the bear? They had stole it and taken a photo as evidence but now what?

Stinky suggested his idea "Why doesn't one of us take 'im home to keep?"

Harold scoffed "No way!! I am not a giant baby! I don't need a big teddy bear!"

Sid agreed "Yeah! Besides, it's the size of me! It's too big to fit in my room!!"

Stinky yelled "Well I sure as heck don't want 'im! On accounta he's a big ol' bear and I am sure scared of bears!"

Sid rolled his eyes "Stinky...he's a TEDDY bear?!"

Suddenly, they all heard a shot from one of the security guards "Oi! Have you checked near the toilets? They might be hiding there?!"

They froze as they but their lip as the other security guard shouted across "Not yet! Let's go over"

The boys panicked as Harold nervously said "Ah geez! We're busted! We're going to jail!"

Sid yelled "No we're not! Just leave the bear and let's make a run for it!"

The trio sprinted away and out the winter fair down the street as they screamed for each other to hurry up.

The security guard checked behind the toilets and found the giant bear slumped against the toilet but unfortunately had missed the culprits who had stolen him.

He picked the bear up and shouted across "Found the bear but the culprits got away!"

The other security guard shouted across the park "Ah geez! This happens every year!" He continued while the other security guard picked the bear up, threw him across his shoulder and began walking him back to where he belonged "No one ever wins that bear! So we always have some kids trying to steal it but then they run away after and leave it behind! I don't think anyone will ever have that damn bear! Whether they try to win it or try to steal it!"

He got to the stall where the bear belonged as he brushed the dirt off his fur and placed him back. He shouted back over "Your probably right!"
