"Are you sure you want to carry on doing this?" Ezra has his arm around me, my head is lying on in his chest.
"Yes, I want to. I have to." I want to say goodbye because then it puts the delay on having to say goodbye to Ezra because I can't even think of that at the moment without nearly breaking.
"You're so strong." His fingers run over my shoulder and I turn my head slightly to look up at him.
"And you are too Ezra, don't think I haven't noticed."
I reach my hand to his cheek and slowly the distance between us begins to decrease-
There's a knock on the door. Ezra moves away and I sink back into my seat thinking about what we may have had in that moment. Me and Ezra hadn't even kissed for days, I'm close to him but still I feel further away from him than I have ever been.
Alison walks in looking as beautiful as ever and maybe that hurts me a little bit. Beauty is nothing to me but it is to those who have a long life ahead of them, she stands and looks to Ezra. He just stares back slightly confused.
"Can I speak to Aria in private, I'll look after her. I promise." Ezra looked to me to make sure I was okay with it and I just nodded. It would only be for a few minutes and I knew Ezra wouldn't be further than the door so he did so, standing right outside.
Alison didn't sit down, I don't know why. Maybe she couldn't stay here long or she just didn't feel comfortable.
"Aria, I know I haven't been a...great friend to you and I know all of the things to do with -A have mainly come down to me but...I can't apologise Aria."
I just shake my head and laugh slightly. "I wouldn't expect you to Alison-"
"No, I mean without me and without -A and the whole whirlwind that went with it you wouldn't have met Ezra and I know you have been at your happiest when you're with him. It made me jealous at first but the both of you were meant to be together. I'd apologise but that would mean that I'm sorry for the both of you meeting and I'm not one bit sorry for that."
I blushed slightly, the only colour that was left on my face as I clung onto the pillow beside me.
"Thank you Ali, that's really sweet."
She shuffled slightly on the spot, gripping more onto her bag.
"I know...I..."
"It's fine, you don't have to say anything else." She hugs me, she smells like strawberries and everything about her is perfect and now I am jealous of her. Like I have always been. She looks at me sadly and I just try to smile.
"Goodbye Alison."
"Goodbye Aria."
