"Woah! Careful!" I regained balance as one of the many doctors attending this meeting caught me.

I staggered. Widening my eyes and shaking my head as I tried to get the sleep out of my eyes. The person holding me, let go warily as I managed to stand by myself. I looked at him with a half hearted smile reassuring him that I was fine.

"Are you really feeling okay?" He asked me still a little concerned.

"Yes, thank you for catching me. I haven't got much sleep in the last week, that's all." I said sheepishly. Man, it was embarrassing to have people see me like this.

"I see. Please take care." He smiled as he excused himself and I headed out of the lavish party hall.

The number of hollow attacks had increased, just as I had almost said out loud in front of Isshin san. I had been so busy attending to all the emergency cases that I barely got three to four hours of shut eye a day. It had left me staggering unbalanced on my feet and to make things worse, I had to attend a big party held for doctors all over the world. Different stalls were set up for the latest gadgets, medicines and surgery techniques along with doctors from big famous fields of medicine all over the world. I also had to give a speech with a slideshow on Aortic Aneurism surgery with 200 people as audience. It was exhausting.

I was just too tired right now so I decided to head home early. It was about three in the afternoon and the meeting was to go on till nine in the night. I had seen and met most of the people I wanted to so I didn't really have anything else to do. I knew that the paparazzi were probably waiting to bombard me with questions on my skills and surgeries and such but I honestly had no mood to go through with that. Too many questions, too much noise....ugh, too much for me at the moment.

I just wanted to sleep.

I walked down the three blocks to my house in a very unladylike manner. I was literally stomping my feet because my pencil heels were making my legs hurt all the way till my knees. I couldn't take off my shoes because I had my hand bag in one hand and case of free medicine and equipment samples given to all doctors in the other. It was heavy, I was sweating and the hot sun wasn't doing me any good. I still had two blocks to walk which made me really want to cry.

"Just because its a meeting, why do I have to wear heels that make it impossible to walk?!" I complained to myself. Why the formalities of a dress and high heels and all this annoying hairstyling and makeup?! We're doctors! It should be more than enough if we wear out white coats with a neck tag having our name and our designation in the hospital we work in. I didn't see the necessity in anything flashy.

It was an odd hour and I barely saw one or two people passed by this residential area so I couldn't even ask anyone to help me with these heavy bags.

I heaved a sigh taking a small breather under the cool shade of a tree. My feet were really throbbing not only because of the awkward angle of my feet but also because the stilettos were tight. My toes were all smushed together uncomfortably. I sometimes wonder how all those models manage to walk with these kinds of shoes 24 hours a day.

I was about to start walking again but I stiffened sensing the presence of a hollow. It wasn't the normal dark reiatsu I usually felt appearing in the town. It was powerful....in fact there were two powerful reiatsus. They weren't just powerful, something about them was menacing. I looked up in the direction of the reiatsus, my hands tightening the grip on the bags I had with me.
