Shiori pov:

I looked at the endless ceiling lazily with nothing to do. I was leaning back against the backrest of the stone couch as Sousuke slept on my lap.

About two hours had passed and Sousuke had turned to the side during his sleep. His face was somewhat tucked into my stomach and his shoulder rose gently with every breath he took. I still had a hand on his head, running my fingers through his hair every now and then. My other arm was wrapped around his shoulder resting on his upper back. I smiled at how much warmth being like this with him sent through me.

A few more minutes passed and Sousuke shifted. He gave a soft groan before pushing off my lap to sit up. He reached for his neck and tilted his head from side to side I heard a few soft cracks escape from his stiff neck and he looked ahead sort of frowning.

I bent forward taking support with my hands on the couch to peek at his face. "Did you sleep well?"

He looked at me with his usual smirk. He did look well rested and he looked much better that what he did when I came to see him. He wasn't as troubled and it made me happy to see him looking better.

"Yes, I did. And you seem unusually happy, Shiori." He smirked at me, a sudden coldness coming to his eyes. I was a little surprised at the change but I maintained my smile and shrugged.

"Yeah, I guess so. I'm just happy that I stopped holding back and for to spend time with you. By the way, I was wondering, Sousuke...." I was surprised yet again when he lost his smirk and narrowed his eyes at me when I said his first name. I cringed back slightly, my heart suddenly picking up speed.

"Is....is something wrong?" I asked hesitantly forgetting the actual question I had wanted to ask. He watched me silently for a few moments before standing up. He ran a hand through his hair setting it down in places where it had stood up from sleeping.

"I'm done sleeping. You may leave." He said before walking towards the door without even glancing at me.

"What....? Wait!" I called out as I stood up. He stopped near the door but didn't turn to face me. I jogged up to him and stood in front of him.

"Aizen san? Did I do something wrong? You're not acting like you usually do." I said in a soft voice as I watched him in the eyes. I had decided that I wouldn't run away but from the icy stare I was getting from him at the moment, I felt like doing nothing more than curling up into a ball and hiding in some crevice in the wall. I tried my best to stay strong.

Perhaps he didn't like it that I called him Sousuke. Had he told me to call him so by mistake when he was asleep? Or had I misheard him? Why did my eyes and nose burn and my chest sting? It hurt that he was angry with me.

Why was he looking at me with such....distaste?

"I was wondering.....would you....would you like to come with me to the human world for a visit?" I asked smiling and trying to lift up the mood a little. He only narrowed his eyes further though and it made me uneasy.

"To the human world? What are you planning, Shiori? You know that you were brought here to serve me....suggesting to go to the human world; are you trying to get in trouble?" His tone was sharp, threatening. I flinched back, my heart pounding suddenly.

"N-no! That's not what I meant! I just thought that a change of place would help....I also wanted to show off my skills in medicine." I tried sounding a little sheepish. Like I was a kid caught doing something I shouldn't be doing.

"Change of place, is it?" He scoffed and chuckled shaking his head. "What makes you think that I would want to be around such low creatures? I have no desire to go to the human world."
