Life is a beautiful thing, many people waste it in doing things they'll regret. People say to live your life to the fullest.
That doesn't mean going out and doing drugs, getting drunk, having sex, and partying all night long.
Living your life to the fullest is kinda telling you to say hello to that person who looks like they are having a bad day, volunteer at a place like a soup kitchen or a homeless shelter, give some of your time to someone who just needs to talk, open doors for those who can't open them theirselves.
There are so many ways you can live your life to the fullest without doing bad things.
Just being kind to someone can make their day go from the horrible to amazing.
I've seen a person's face light up just from me opening a door, saying thank you, asking how their day is going, and even being kind to my own family I can see their faces light up because there are so many kids my age who don't respect their parents.
I respect both of my parents because they both worked hard for me to have the life I have now. My dad risked his life for many years by doing his job of being a firefighter. My mom is a stay at home mom who has taught me many things throughout my life. My respect for her is over the roof because she's been injured since I was four with a disease called CRPS (or better known as RSTD).
She's such a strong woman. She's has been diagnosed with many more diseases since then. Yet with all that pain she has managed to continue to be a positive, and happy woman. She has taught me and my sister, cooked dinners, run her own business, become a board member of the ice skating club I'm in, run the homeschool support group, cleaned the house, been an amazing wife to my dad, been an absolutely amazing mother to me, my sister, and my brother. I just don't know how she does it but I know that she is my role model.
Many kids feel embarrassed to have their parents around them or with them. I embrace having my parents there cause one day they won't be there and I'll be on my own.
Yes there are days when I feel slightly embarrassed but then I remember how much they've done for me and how they are just looking out for me.
Seconds will speed through, minutes will tick away, months will slip past, and years will fly so fast. That's why we are told to live our lives to the fullest. Use every second of everyday to change someone's life for the better.
Sometimes you'll wake up in a bad mood and not know how to lift someone's spirits while yours are down. That just means it's your turn to have someone cheer you up. You just have to give them the chance.
Don't waste your life, live your life. Because that's what you are supposed to do.
