How to find the location of a stray bullet?

-- this is one of the many problem our country's encountering for many years.

1st problem were education regarding to it. What is it? Physics.

-- yes, you read it right. PHYSICS is one of the most important part of our everyday life.

If we don't know how to use physics in formulating distance, impact and trajectory we cannot find where exactly the location originated. Especially, that stray bullet that became much ordinary for some citizen and making gun a toy.

Not only MATH are important for everyday life.

In early centuries, many philosopher became much more dedicated in finding results in computing in any matter that is needed a number's. And that number isn't just a number but the exact point of location and solution to a problem.

Stray bullets case:

By finding where the start point trajectory we should first calculate the landfall of it. We should measure position, height, where it faces, then we can create a whole radius of a circle then cut it in half radius of a circle to find the bullets trajectory. The location should be measure equal point where the possible starting point.

In this matter it takes time to compute and find the right angle on how the suspect enacted the shooting. If he's standing, walking, just sitting, or having a random movements under circumstances like fight.

2nd problem; If the gun owner were hiding it and it is a non registered arm it won't be found.

By that physics, you cannot just say 'this is the location, I know he owns unregistered arm'. Trajectory will tell you where exactly it is. And you have the right to cease the person for warrant search because of the right and accurate measurement.

3rd problem; the most common where every investigation look at; the suspect with records in their book. Not at all time, we must sometimes look at the other side of the problem. Don't get stuck in one solution that cannot be solve through that thinking.

And so on...

Go back to your high school Physics subject and/or study more of it. Google has everything...
