Chapter 4- Trying To Ignore

Selina's PoV

      Why just why moon goddess does it have to be him of all the people? You could have made my mate anyone as long as it wasn't him. I could feel it all, the mate bond, the pull, but why the stupid bad boy, Mr. player who thinks so highly of himself just because all the girls throw themselves at him?

     Well, not this girl. Hell, no way was I going to fall at his feet, I don't even want a mate yet, more specifically some player. Arrggg I swear, he can stay his little player self away from me.

      As soon as I stepped out of my GT 2015 that my father got me for my sweet 16, I had smelt his scent. It was so mouthwatering, it smelt like wooden pine and coconut with a hint of forest. His manly scent was sending my wolf Silver crazy. She didn't understand the meaning of player, all she cared about was her damn mate.

(S) "Our mate is sexy, why didn't you go to him?"

(Me) "What don't you get? No, you may want to be with a player, but I don't."

(S) "It's not his wolf's doing you silly human. I want my mate, our mate."

(Me) "Whatever Silver, still not happening. Sorry, but no."

     With that she shuts me out, sulking at not getting her mate, but really what could I do? Hell, I wouldn't even trust him even if we did accept each other, but my bet is he will probably reject me for all the pack sluts anyway.

     I wasn't putting myself through the pain that I knew he would cause me. No, I was going to ignore him at all costs while I was here. I wouldn't let him get in my way nor get to me.

     The best thing was that we hadn't made eye contact, so the bond wasn't fully there yet, which I was grateful for. I had made sure to keep my head down with my eyes anywhere but on his, as well as to not touch him. If either of those two things would have happened I would have signed my own death over to him.

     Yes, finding your mate is meant to be the best thing ever to happen. But, why I'm being a total cow is all because of his player rep. I know they aren't just rumours, they are all true. My own friends in my pack had family in this pack that had told them, themselves, that they had slept with the soon to be alpha, as he was such a hottie. So, no way could I have that.

     When I said I felt sorry for his mate I never knew that I would end up his mate. Goddess, I hate this so much, can't I just reject him and have a second chance mate or something.

     I had no idea how this was ever going to be played out between us, but no way in hell was I telling the guys about this. They would have me make him chase me, and I don't want that, I'd rather leave him to it.

     The school is going to be so much more fun knowing that my own mate will watch me every move. But, let's just say I don't care and two can play whatever game he wants.

     The good thing about me is that I haven't shifted yet, although I'm meant to shift anytime soon. But for now, I had total control over my own body, so my wolf wouldn't come out and take over if she got pissed.

     If you're confused as to why I have a wolf but haven't shifted yet, I'll explain. When I was 13 I had gotten my wolf but had not shifted. The Moon Goddess had come to me herself and explained that even though I had got my wolf, the shift would not happen until after my 16th birthday, which happened at the beginning of May, so you see I should be shifted soon.

     Did this really bother me? No, as normal wolves don't shift until they reach 16 anyways. So I honestly didn't mind. I guess the moon goddess has something planned for me that's all.

     Anyways guess it's time to get so sleep school tomorrow and I know it's going to be a long day.
