Chapter 20- Knowing Who

Selina's wolf, Silver

Selina's PoV

Last night had been interesting to say the least. After Luka and I's wolves played and chased each other for a while, we had gone back to the house to see that the party was over, and most of the pack was now in their rooms. We had stayed up talking most of the night, about our favourite colour, movies, music, and anything else that helped us get to know each other. It was good to finally feel free from all the heartache and pain that I felt whenever we weren't together.

Some people would say that it's nothing, but to us werewolves, it's everything. Especially when you have to live in the same house as them, and watch them with other people. It can break your heart, even more than you would guess.

Knock knock knock

Getting up, I walked over to the door to see Alpha Gareth Troy.

"Alpha Troy."

"Selina, I was wondering if you could come and have a chat with me in my office. I have something important I would like to talk to you about."

"Sure, can I meet you there in five?"

"Of course, Luka should be there by then. Anyway, I'll see you in five then." Weird, what could the alpha want to talk to me about?

Quickly going to the bathroom, I freshen up before heading down to the alpha's office. I notice a new marking on my right arm. It was a wolf, in black outline, howling to the moon. What surprised me the most was that the moon was in the shape of a heart. I have never seen a marking like that before. I guess it could have something to do with Silver. "It's our marking, it shows who we are." Now I'm even more confused as to what she means. "You will soon find out." Okay, now these stupid riddles are pissing me off. I shut her out, making my way to Alpha Troy's office.

I knock on the door before walking in. I walk over to the chair in front of the alpha, and notice Luka sitting in the one next to me.

(Alpha T.) Selina, thank you for joining us. Now instead of beating around the bush like you kids do nowadays, I'll be straight to the point. I understand that you shifted for the first time yesterday, is that correct?"

(Me) "Yes, why do you ask?"

(Alpha T.) "The reason I'm asking is because I wanted to know if you've noticed any new marks on your body. But now, looking at your right arm and seeing the mark, I realize I don't need to ask."

(Me) "Wait, you know what this marking means?"

(Luka) "That is why my father and I have called you here, Selina. This marking is not just any old marking. Have you ever seen what the real mark of the mother Luna is? It's a birthmark, at that. But of course, it was not visible to our eyes, until you became one with your wolf and shifted for the first time."

(Me) "That can't be. It is said that each time a new Mother Luna is reborn, her marking changes. I have read enough to know of this."

(Luka) "That part is true, but what is not written in any book is that the tattoo on your back is a tattoo made only for yourself. But that right there is, and always will be, the true Mother Luna birthmark. Selina, you are the reborn Mother Luna. That means for whatever reason, the goddess has made you the reborn. This means that the unforeseen is heading our way, and you are the only that can help us get through it all."

(Me) "Does my father know about this?"

(AT) "Yes, I had a meeting with your father last week. We spoke about this, even though he was shocked he always had a feeling that you were special. You were given your wolf, but yet could not shift. He always thought the Moon Goddess had something special planned for you, but didn't know what until now."

(Me) "If I am the Mother Luna, then this means that I will start to gain powers. What they will be, we do not know, as every reborn Luna is different, that we know of."

(AT) "I'm glad that you understand all of this, and what this means for you. I guess you did well in learning about the Mother Luna and the protectors of the Mother Luna, as well as the royals."

(Me) "Yes, I studied all of the books at a young age. I know why we are the protectors, as to why my family is called the Silver Moon pack. I studied the Mother Luna as I wanted to know why we were her protectors. As for understanding, I'm an alpha's daughter, I know the meaning to be the new reborn. I know that I will be the one to bring peace upon earth once more, when though, we do not know."

(AT) "You must train as much as you can. No matter what, you will be ready to take on anything. I understand that you and Luka are mates, so you are to mark and mate each other within a month. It will make you stronger when you stand together as one."

(Me) "I will not be forced into mating Alpha."

(AT) "I have spoken with your father already. He knows about this and has agreed that it is for the best. Now, if you both excuse me, I have paperwork to be done."

I didn't say anything to any of them as I stormed out. I was pissed at my father for agreeing with the mating, and yet confused as to why the Moon Goddess chose me to be the reborn Mother Luna to all werewolves.
