Chapter 17- Brave

Selina's PoV

Today is his eighteenth birthday, and the pack is having a party. Since we're staying here, we're allowed to attend. I've been avoiding Luka since 2 nights ago, after we had bumped into each other. I couldn't bring myself to face him. My wolf was begging me to go find him and be in his arms, but I couldn't. As much as I was starting to feel the mate pull, I still had to keep a brave face, and ignore him.

I was going through my dress collection, when I felt a stabbing pain in my chest. I couldn't breath, it hurt so much. I didn't know what was happening. Wait, no. Luka. He was. "James!" I managed to scream out. Thankfully my door was open, so he and the others can hear my screams.

Not even ten seconds later, Connor, James, Tommy, and Darren are all in my room. "Shit!" I heard James saying. I was struggling to breathe, and I screamed out as I held my hands over my chest from the pain.

(Connor) "Selina, what's going on? Talk to me, please. Baby girl, we're here for you." Yet I couldn't speak, only my cries were heard as the pain continued.

(James) "Baby girl, please tell me it's not what I think this is." I could see the hurt in his face as I nodded my head. I knew that James was fighting with his wolf about what was going on, but I told him not to do anything about it. This only made Connor more confused.

"James you know why she is like this?" I could sense that Connor was angry at the fact that James knew and he didn't. I heard the hurt in his voice. After all, I was his sister. We told each other everything. But this, I didn't know how to. Just then, Tommy picked me up and sat my in his lap with my back against his chest. He tried to comfort me like they always do if I'm upset or hurt. But this time I knew it wouldn't stop, not until he was done sleeping with whatever hoe he was fucking right now.

"Connor, think about Selina before you go all wolf up in here."

"What do you mean James? You better get to the point before I make you."

Before James could respond, the pain slowly started fading, leaving me to try to steady my breathing out. It left my heart in pieces, that even though he knew this would happen to me, he still went and did it. Once a player always a player.

(Me) "Connor, you will not command anyone, let alone James to tell you my secret. But if you must know, I have found my mate and what that was, was him having his way with someone who is not me."

(Tommy & Darren) "You what?!"

"What! I will kill him. You best tell me who he is so I can get my hands on him. And so help me, Goddess, I will make him pay. You're my sister and nobody hurts you."

"Not you, or anyone else in this room will do such a thing. You will all act as if this didn't happen tonight, and let me deal with it. Now we are all going to have to get ready for this party, so go."

"Fine, but I will find out who he is one way or another, and when I do he better run."

"Whatever Connor, if you command James to even tell you one single thing other than what I have just said, I will never speak to you again. You  will lose me as your sister." I could see the hurt in his eyes from what he had just witnessed. It hurt him to see me upset, let alone in pain.

I was now standing in front of the mirror wearing my strapless dress. It was black half way down at the bottom half, and the top half white. It came half way up my knees, showing off my long legs. I then put my black high heels on. I had curled my hair before pulling it to one side over my shoulders, and to the front where it sat nicely in place. For makeup I went with a smoky eye and red lipstick, making my lips stand out.

Tonight was not about me, it was about him. But I wasn't going to stay in my room, letting him think that his dirty fuck piece hurt me. Oh no, tonight I was going to put on a brave face, go down there and show him that it might cause me pain while he's fucking away, but it will not break me. Even though deep down it was breaking me, he didn't need to know that. So here goes nothing.
