I walked through the crowded parking lot out to my car for the 5th time this week excited that it was the weekend. I was ready to chill at home with food and my bed until Monday. I'd probably be forced to go out tonight or tomorrow night but my weekend would consist of me relaxing and typing up homework.

My name is Alijah Jayde Simone but I go by my middle name. Jayde. I'm in my sophomore year of college attending Georgia State. Im 19 years old and I live with my best friends of 6 years Honey & Joy in a nice apartment in downtown Atlanta.

I was aware of the lustful stares I got from the young and grown men at my college even teachers knew about me. They also knew that none of them were gonna get me anytime soon. No I wasn't conceited but unlike alotta girls here I wasn't easy and I was quite aware of my worth. Other girls just threw themselves out there.

I drove slowly through the streets of Atlanta singing my heart out to Bryson tiller exchange. I couldn't relate to the song because I was far from having relationship problems but Bryson always got me in my feelings. I was 19 and I never had a real relationship. Men tried to talk to me everyday...get my number take me out but none ever caught my eye. Call me crazy but I wanted someone who wouldn't take no for an answer and who would put me in my place and I haven't found that yet. And due to the fact that I never had a real boyfriend that made me probably the only 19 year old virgin here but I was okay with that.

I got to my apartment complex and sighed when I saw my big cousin's car in a parking space. I rolled my eyes because he always found a way to work every one of my nerves. I loved him but you would think he ain't have a house of his own by how much he's here.

"Cousin!" Taj said once I got in the door. He hugged me and I playfully frowned and shrugged him off.

"Get off me nigga idk where you been at." He sucked his teeth and plopped back on the couch by my friend honey.

"Hi boo." I said to her as she focused on the tv that was playing love and hip hop. She simply waved too engulfed in the tv causing me to roll my eyes.

"You ain't gon' say wassup to my nigga ?" I turned around and mugged the man on my couch.

Masiah was Taj's bestfriend and I hated him. I won't lie he was sexy as hell and Ive had a slight crush on him since forever but he was 3 years older than me so he always treated me like a baby. Plus his presence irked me and his stuck up ass knew that.

"Yuck." I said rolling my eyes at his stupid self.

"Real mature, dumbass." He mumbled as I went upstairs.

"Say it with your chest !" I yelled behind me and I heard Taj chuckle causing me to slam my door and plop on my bed. A few minutes later Taj came and laid beside me. He didn't say anything which indicated that he was thinking.

"When's the last time you talked to Sammie ?" He asked seriously making me sigh.

Sammie was my little brother Samuel named after my late father. He lived with my aunt...Taj's mother so I didn't talk to him as much as I wanted. When my parents were killed when I was a freshman in high school me and my brother moved in with her and she blamed me for Taj's sudden change. Him skipping school and getting involved with the streets but it wasn't my fault. She never liked me and since I've gone to college she hadn't talked to me much only when I wanted to see Sammie which wasn't often because of her attitude towards me.
