After Joy took care of my bruises and put a bit of makeup over she visible ones I took the longest shower of my life. Washing away all my fear and anxiety. I made a mental note to check on Ciara and see how she's doing with her mom.

I got out of the shower and heard voices knowing Masiah and honey was here. Even though he was with honey now all the feelings and butterflies I used to have instantly came back and I was scared to go downstairs feeling like that would show. I threw on a white shirt and Nike shorts so I'd be comfortable and combed through my hair and took a deep breath before going downstairs.

"Sammie you probably never even had no pussy so what you talking about?" Taj said making me bust out laughing.

Everyone got quiet and turned their attention towards the stairs and I turned around to see Jayde.

She was always beautiful and not much had changed but she got a lot curvier and if that was her natural hair it had gotten longer. Her skin had gotten a bit darker I'm guessing from the Miami sun but it only made her look more exotic.

"Long time no see." I said and I heard honey suck her teeth but I ignored her.

"I know it's good to see yall." She smiled at me and then honey.

"I can't say the same." Honey said causing me to turn around and Joy spoke.

"Well we can say the same and if you can't then you can leave." Honey rolled her eyes and looked back to Jayde.

Surprisingly Jayde just smiled politely at her and bit her lip. I was shocked because the old Jayde would have tried to fight but her she was being mature. Maybe she had changed.

"How you doing?" I changed the subject.

"I'm doing good I guess. Better now that I'm with y'all." Everyone but Honey smiled at her.

"Honey let me talk to you for a minute." She nodded and followed me outside and everyone looked our way wondering what was going on.

When we got outside I closed the door behind honey and leaned against it.

"What the fuck is your problem."

"Y'all are my problem. She come back and y'all all gawking and shit even you, my boyfriend."

"Your being selfish as fuck Honey and you know it. The girl been through a lot and all she want is to come back and be with her family. You were her bestfriend what happened man cause this petty shit not going down."

"I'm not being selfish I just don't think she deserves another chance, it was better when she wasn't here ." She shrugged and I ran my hand down my face.

"Whatever." I turned to walk away and she grabbed my arm.

"Don't walk away from me to go back to that bitch Masiah." I snatched my arm and shook my head before walking away. I had her to keep my mind off of Jayde but I knew that I could grow to love her and I wasn't the type of dude to leave cause he saw something new.

I walked in and she walked in shortly after.

"Ima head out I'll see y'all later." She looked at Jayde with hatred that she obviously always had and grabbed my keys out my hand and stormed out and I sighed.

I looked at Jayde who was looking in her lap playing with her hands. I shook off my thoughts knowing that the crush she had on me probably was gone and here I was wanting her just how she had wanted me a few years ago. But I had honey now and that was all I needed.

"Listen man whether you like it or not you going away for quiet some time so you might as well just tell me who your connects are so you can be transferred." He shrugged and I sat back and chuckled.

I had been in this room for almost 7 hours and I was frustrated as fuck but of course I wouldn't show him that. They had just shown up to my drop finding all the drugs and everything and I wanted answers because there was no way they could've found out about that. I was always clean with what I did.

"So you gonna take all the drug charges by yourself."

"Like you said either way I'm going in for a while. You think Ima be in there and be a snitch?" I shook my head as if I was really thinking and he nodded slowly.

"Alright but your gonna regret this Jodi."

I wasn't scared by shit they had to say. I had connections everywhere and I knew the longest I would serve is a year or two maybe even less but I was fine with that. I had been here before and they should already know not to fuck with me everyone knew who I was and what I could do of they came at me sideways.

I had been tryna get in touch with Jayde but she wasn't answering which was unlike her. She'd usually run when I called but I knew she'd hold a nigga down for however long I asked.

I sat on my bed calling Ciara. After Masiah and Honey left we all called it a night and went to bed but I had to check on Ciara before I could get any sleep.

"Hello?" She answered sounding asleep.

"Were you sleeping I can call later."

"Yea but I can talk. How's your family."

"Good." I smiled to myself.

"They were more understanding than I thought they'd be. How's you and your family."

"I'm great and my family is good. My sister's pregnant and my mom's okay. Thank you so much Jayde. I would still be there getting my ass beat if it weren't for you." She laughed slightly but I knew she didn't find it funny so I didn't laugh with her.

"No problem I did it for the both of us. But we can hang out tomorrow me and Joy are gonna go to the mall and maybe grab a bite to eat you should come ."

"Okay text me the time."

"Okay bye love you." After she said I love you too I called it a night for real.

"Honey." I called through the house when I got in. She had took my car when she left but we lived a few blocks away so I wasn't tripping.

When she didn't answer I went upstairs to see her on the bed staring at the ceiling.

"Baby why you in here in the dark?" She shook her head and I got closer to see that she was crying making me get on the bed and put my head on her stomach.

"Why you crying?" I sighed and she shook her head.

"You want her huh?"

"Who?"

"Jayde , Masiah don't play. She came back and you want her now." I sat up and pulled her into my lap kissing her tears away.

"Nah I want you and only you. I know how she is and I wouldn't put myself through that." She nodded and straddled me.

"No matter how bad things got you wouldn't leave me right? You wouldn't leave me for her?" I frowned wondering what she meant but I ignored the weird feeling I got.

"No I wouldn't leave you." She smiled and pecked my lips deepening it.

She moved her hands to the bottom of my shirt and tugged on it making me lean up so she could take it off. She ran her nails gently up and down my chest.

I smiled knowing this would be a long night.
