Real or not real?

[9]Party Time {p.1}

Today, Peeta and I are deciding to have a little party/ get together at our house. Pretty much to see all our friends and family we haven't seen for a while.

I walk over to the empty room (that Peeta calls "our future child's bedroom" and take the phone with me. Peeta was down working at the bakery until 5, and I'm planning on having our guests here at 6:30.

First, I dial Annie's number. It rings a few times and someone picks it up.

"Hello? It's Katniss." I say.

The only thing I'm hearing is a bunch of babbling and random words. Finn.

"Hi Finn!!" I say in a baby voice, "it's your auntie Katniss!"

"Babiss?" He questions.

"Yeah! It's Auntie Katniss! Can I talk to your mommy?" Aw! Finn can say my name! There's complete silence until Annie must have found him with the phone.

"Hey Katniss! I'm sorry about what happened, Finn can get to the phone now, so every time it rings he runs," she giggles.

"That's completely fine, Annie. I was wondering if you wanted to come over tonight around 6:30 for a slight get together?"

"Oh of course! We might be a bit late because of us having to take the train but we'd love to see you guys! Congrats on your engagement as well!"

"Thank you! I'll see you guys tonight!"

"Bye!"

"Bye!"

I made a few more calls inviting Johanna and her boyfriend, Haymitch, Effie, and Cressida. That should be enough people. Wait, I feel like I'm forgetting someone. Ummm. Oooh wait, Gale. Should I invite him? Will he come? I guess I'll give it a shot and forget about the time he kissed me in the woods. I haven't seen him since that day.

I dial Gales number and the phone starts ringing.

"Uh hello? Who is this?" Gale says.

"Hi Gale, it's me , I'm Katniss. I wa-" he cuts me off.

"Oh hey Katnip! I was getting worried, I haven't talked to you for a while,"

"Uh, yeah. Anyway, what i was going to say is do you wanna come over tonight around 6:30 because me and Peeta are having some people over."

"Sure Katnip! Hey, I have to go but I'll definitely be there!"

"Bye."

"Bye!"

I walk down the stairs and check the time. 2:44 , the wall clock shows. Still time, about a little over 2 hours until Peeta gets home.

I try to think of something that will occupy me while I wait for Peeta to get home.

I clean for a half an hour, and I plop on the couch because of my exhaustion. Soon enough, I pass out then and there. At least I'd have enough energy for the party.

*5:16 pm*

PEETAS P.O.V (I'd like to be switching POV thought the chapters and parts and stuff)

"Psst! Hey, wake up baby, company is gonna be here soon," I coo. Katniss was laying on the floor, passed out. She must've fell asleep on the couch, and knowing how Katniss flails around in her sleep, she probably fell off.

Her eyes drearily flutter open as she said "Peeta?"

"Yes honey I just got home from the bakery. You need to wake up." God, she was drop dead gorgeous even when she slept.

"Oh....." Her eyes fluttered back dow again and then snapped open as she sat up. "Okay. Oh yeah, that's right."

I steadily walked up the stairs into our bedroom to change out of my work clothes from the bakery. I simply put on whatever I find in our closet; a plain grey short sleeved shirt and a pair of denim jeans.

I'm so glad Katniss finally agreed to marry me after all this time. I was kind of afraid she'd hesitate or say no because I mean, she's Katniss.

Now I can finally live a happy life with the one girl I love the most. It's a happily ever after from all the obstacles we've been put through as a team.

I just wish she'd agree to start a family. I've been begging her ever since the rebellion ended against the Capitol. I don't why she won't agree though, she knows I want it terribly.

I go back downstairs to find Katniss tidying up the table with a bouquet of flowers. Specifically Rues and Primroses. She catches me watching her.

"I want them to be here with us," she says and gives a gentle smile towards them. A tear sheds down her face. I rush over to her and wrap my arms around her neck.

6:22 pm
I put the finishing touches on the dessert I baked for tonight and rushed to the door as I heard our first guest approach the door. I wipe all the icing and flour off of my shirt and open the door.

"Oh, uh, hey!" Gale was our first guest of the night.

"Hi Gale," I said as gestured him inside the house. I actually have grow fond of Gale now.

He places his coat on the cost rack and sits on the couch.

"This is a lovely little place you guys have got here," he smiles and looks around.

"Uh, yeah. Very cozy." I let a little smile out. That's when Katniss comes down the stairs. She sees Gale and had a surprised look on her face.

"Oh, hey Gale." She manages to choke out.

"H-hey catnip," before anyone else got to say anything, it's 6:27 and Haymitch and Effie walk through the door.

"Oooh, hello hello everyone!" Effie bursts out.

"Hey Effie," we all say. Haymitch walks up to Katniss and I.

"Hey there Sweetheart and Bread Boy," he nudges us and smirks.

By the time is was about 7:00, everyone got here, Annie and Finn being the latest. By then, everyone kinda hung out and socialized.
