Katniss' POV
___________
Peeta and I are loading up our luggage on to the train. I had an exquisite time on our honeymoon, and I wish it would've lasted forever.

I wasn't looking forward to the long train ride we had home, but I guess that just made the trip feel longer in a way.

I hope Prim's okay. I've been randomly breaking out into worry about her this week. I guess I just don't want to loose her for real this time. I wonder if that's how a parent feels when they're away from their kids.

It's probably just me and my completely damaged brain from the games and the revolution. Every single moment of my life, it felt like, watching innocent children die because of the cruelty of the Capitol.

It just changes your point of view in life. And I honestly don't even know how I'm alive and standing here to this day.

I guess it was Rue, Prim, Finnick, all of them that helped me through. Even in my hardest situations. They guided me and I couldn't have won this revolution without them. But did we really win? Is this all over?

Peeta walks around the corner and finds me sitting to myself.

"Something wrong, Hun?" He gently asks.

"Oh hi, no nothing's wrong, sorry," I apologize.

"Why are you sorry?"

"Just for scaring you,"

"I'm fine, Katniss," he softly smiles and his bright blue ocean eyes twinkle, "come on, the train is getting ready to leave."

I stand up without saying anything and walk toward Peeta who wraps his arm around me.

We silently ascend to the train.

"Did you pack everything?" Peeta asks me.

"Mhmm," is all I really say.

Peeta and I finally find the bedroom compartment on the train after frantically searching for what seemed like 10 minutes.

We both plop ourselves down on the bed and just lay there for a few moments.

"What's on your mind?" Peeta questions. "You've been very quiet, something must be going on in your head." He chuckles.

"I don't know," I respond.

"If you don't want to tell me, that's fine. I accept that."

"No, no, it's just I really- I just really don't know. It's too much."

"I understand," he gets up, sits behind me and starts playing around with my salty ocean-touched hair. "No braid today, eh, girl on fire?"

I laugh under my breath. "I guess not. I'm not really feeling the braid today."

"You could rock your braid any day, Everdeen." He starts braiding my hair.

"Mellark," I correct him.

"Katniss Mellark. It really fits, you know." He says to me.

"Yeah," I pause, "meant to be, right?" I smile towards the ceiling.

"Of course," he gives a soft laugh.

I hear a voice come out from the ceiling.

"Mr. And Mrs. Mellark you will be arriving to the train station in District Twelve in approximately 45 minutes. Please be sure you're luggage is ready to go as well as yourselves. Have a nice day." And it shut off.

"Almost home to Prim," I give a large breath of relief.

"She'll be okay, I promise. I don't think Effie and Haymitch have locked her in the closet and feed her a parcel of food a day." We both laugh.

"Let's hope not," I let out another big laugh.
~
Peeta and I approach Haymitch and Effie's front door. We quietly open it, and creep through. We try to keep ourselves from bursting into laughter as we crawl on the ground like idiots, which we somehow succeed in.

We find Prim sitting on the couch, reading a book as Haymitch and Effie are nowhere to be seen. I look over at Peeta and mouth the word "three" as in on a count of three we jump up and scare gullible little Prim.

He nods , and with my fingers I clung to three, putting one up at a time. We slyly scoot over a bit. One, two, three....

"SURPRISE!" Peeta and I both yell and Prim jumps like she's seen paranormal activity somewhere.

"Katniss! Peeta!" Her face brightens as she tosses her book (which was very thick by the way) aside and runs into our arms. "I missed you two!" She exclaims.

"We did too," I tell her.

"Well look who's back...." I turn my head and see Haymitch followed by Effie standing in the doorway!

"Effie! Haymitch! I'm so glad to see you guys! How was Prim?" I question as I walk up to hug both of them.

"Oh, she was great," Effie smiled.

"Lovely," I tell her. "Are you ready to go home?" I ask Prim.

"Yeah," she admits keeping her smile.

"Well, let's go! " Peeta grins and we all walk out the door and over to home.

"Goodbye Effie! Goodbye Haymitch! Thank you so much for watching Prim for us!" I tell on the way out.

Long time no write, eh? Well, I'm at 1.7k reads and I honestly don't know how but were getting closer and closer to 2k!
