Katniss' POV

"Annie!!" I squeal as I run through the doorway with my arms open for a hug.

She comes and hugs me back, "Katniss!!!"

"We missed you!" I say speaking for Peeta and I.

"Finn and I missed you guys too! How's it going?"

Before I get to speak, Peeta chimes in, "things are great here in 12." We all break out in laughter for a minute.

"Well, I'm glad it's going well guys. Let me go get Finn, he's been waiting for you two to come." Annie leaves the room and back through a hallway, soon enough to come back with Finn on her hip.

"Babiss! Peeda!" Finn squeaks and wiggles out of Annie's grip.

"Finn!!!" Peeta and I say in unison. We hold out our arms and he comes right into them hugging us.

He moves back and smiles at us. I have to stop the tears about to spill from my eyes. I swear that's Finnick right In front of me.

I give him a sad smile back, looking as if I was about to cry. Peeta does the same.

"Wuts wong wif them mommy? You do dat too," He asks Annie with a questionable expression. She mouths 'sorry' to us. We nod.

"Nothing honey, they're just, er, happy to see you because they missed you." She smiles at him.

"Yep." Peeta says. "So how have you guys been."

"Oh just the same old, but pretty good!"

"That's good," he says.

"How are you Finn?" I ask.

"Good!" He smiles.

"How about some tea and cookies, guys?" Annie asks walking to the kitchen.

"Sure!" I reply.

She sits us and Finn down at the table as she goes preparing the tea.

"So what's new? How's the marriage going?!"

"It's amazing, thanks for helping with the wedding, Annie" I thank her.

"Aw any time, you guys are like my family, I'd do anything for you."

"Aw Annie, thank you. We're always here when you need us!"

"I know you guys are. You've helped me so much over the past few years and I just can't thank you enough. You've been with me through all my hard times and while I was weak you two were strong for me and I appreciate it. Especially that first year after the revolution."

"You don't have to, "

"Thanks guys. Time for cookies and tea Finn! Are you hungry?"

"Cookees!!" Finn yells.

"Yeah! Cookies! You're right Finn!" Annie squeals. "I swear it was just yesterday I was holding my newborn little Finn and he's already talking!" She exclaims.

"I bet." Peeta says. "What's my name again?" He asks Finn.

"PEEDA!!!" Finn bangs his hands on the table.

"That's right! Good job. What's her name?" He points to me.

"BABISS!!" Finn exclaims.

"Yeah! Katniss!"

We all take a cookie as they're placed on the table along with mugs of tea.
A/n tbh no I'm not British idk what they were supposed to have😂 I was like no they're not eating freakin goldfish and jell-o so yeah I thought cookies and tea would be appropriate😂😂

We start talking about life and just a bunch of random things in general for about an hour or two until Finn starts to whine.

"Shhh. Cmon Finn, do you wanna go to bed?" Annie coos and tries to calm Finn down.

"Yeeaah," Finn cries out.

"Cmon babe get you to bed," she picks Finn us and carries him back through the hallway, "sorry guys, I'll be right back."

"I swear, Finn is like Finnick's twin. They are literally identical. I feel bad for Annie, who has to deal with it all the time, I'm sure she has it worse than us." Peeta sighs.

"I know," I could break down in tears any minute," it's a shame that Finnick never got to meet his son. He fought so hard and deserves the world, but you know what he got for being a gentleman, a good teammate, and a hard fighter? Death."
