The rest of the weekend went by in just the manner she'd been wanting - Uneventful, and in peace in her apartment.

After Karma had bailed her out of that uncomfortable situation involving Asano Gakushuu, she'd hung around with him until just after lunch, and then made her way home after he'd seemed to want to go somewhere, and she didn't want to be a pain and hang around all day even though she wanted to. Thankfully, Amaya had managed to trick her siblings into answering the door, and forced her way inside, much to their bemusement.

Of course, after Amaya had told them off for throwing her out like that, and all they had to was ask her to leave the next time they wanted the apartment to themselves for a day, the two apologized and left Amaya to slouch in her room, alone.

However misfortune never seemed to be too far away, and on Sunday Evening when she'd taken the fortnights load of washing to the laundromat down on the ground floor of the apartment building, she knew that her luck had cursed her, once again.

Every single pair of Amaya's grey pants for school were dyed a rather vivid shade of pink, and no matter how many times she rewashed them that night, she couldn't get the colour out.

However Amaya had figured out what was responsible for the vandalism of her makeshift school uniform.

Somehow, a little bottle of what Amaya recognized to be red food colouring had ended up in amongst the many pairs of grey pants, opened up from all the turbulence and swishing around, and dyed everything cotton a wonderful shade of pink.

How that bottle of food colouring ended up there was beyond Amaya, all she knew was that it had, and she had the results to deal with.

Amaya was just lucky that she always washed her shirts separately, otherwise she had to buy a whole new wardrobe for school.

After four hours of sitting in the laundromat waiting in vain for her clothes to return to their proper colour in repeated washes, Amaya made her grudging way back upstairs with the three baskets of washed laundry she'd taken.

She offhandedly wondered if sabotage was upon her, but wouldn't point fingers until she had reason to.

The fact that her siblings had kicked her out of the apartment didn't mean anything.

Needless to say, they had immediately noticed her rather foul mood upon her return, and were quick to put two and two together. They'd given her plenty of space so she could vent and sulk in peace.

Come Monday morning, Amaya was about ready to email Koro-sensei and tell him that she just wasn't going to come in to class today. Whether she had to make up some excuse or just point blank refuse to turn up, she didn't care.

She stared dejectedly at the only articles of clothing she actually had in the house that she could wear for school.

And she hated it.

On the bed in front of her, pulled out from a box of clothes that she had refused to ever wear was a grey pleated skirt, one of her white shirts, and a pair of black leggings.

The only god damn thing she had that would fit the schools dress code was a god-damn skirt!

Shorts weren't allowed if you weren't in PE, and all of Amaya's other pants were jeans, or very obviously not suitable for school.

She couldn't go to school in a skirt - Not only would she look horribly bizarre, but she'd been back in town long enough for the usual jerks to recognize her on sight, they'd leap at the opportunity to attack her dressed in a skirt, because it'd be obvious that she was uncomfortable and awkward.
