If this was someones idea of joke, she wasn't finding it funny.

Not one bit.

If someone out there had set her up just to get a laugh out of the embarrassment that had engulfed her, she definitely wanted to punch them square in the face.

This wasn't remotely funny.

And she didn't know what to do.

She trudged along after Karma, still being dragged around by the wrist as she tried frantically to come up with some kind of explanation for the situation she was now faced with. Anything, or even just some way to escape before her thoughts would read too much into what was going on and drown her in a bright red blush again.

She was too tired for all this emotional conflict that kept on wrecking her – Her brain was having trouble keeping up.

The grip around her wrist was firm – Enough to tell Amaya that the redhead wasn't going to let go of her any time soon.

She was almost apprehensive of wherever it was he was taking her.

People looked over every now and then as she was dragged along after Karma, presumably because seeing two school-aged teenagers walking around downtown instead of heading to school was a bit of a curiosity.

It was rather embarrassing for her, but at least nobody she knew was around.

She'd be even more embarrassed if say, a stalking yellow octopus happened upon them right now.

Not only would it be embarrassing, but the octopus would likely get a little upset that they were cutting class.

And that was a situation she would rather avoid dealing with right now.

The voices around her grew louder and louder, others mixing in to create a much louder chorus than the mountain silence she had gotten used to.

Eventually though, her curiosity and exasperation got the better of her embarrassment, and a sigh tumbled past her lips.

'Where are we going?' She asked, directing her question to the redhead tugging her along by her wrist.

No response – He kept his gaze ahead, almost like he was lost in thought again.

'Oi, Karma!' She spoke, a little louder this time.

Yet again, she didn't receive a response.

This was seriously getting old.

Frustrated, she picked up the pace a little so that she was walking even-stride with him at his side, fixing him with as strong a frown as she could.

From the glance he cast her, she guessed that got his attention.

'Were you ignoring me?' She questioned, a little bitter.

'Heh? What gave you that idea?' He responded, his usual tone of false-innocence in his voice.

The innocent look he cast her was a dead giveaway, too.

Instead of biting at his obvious taunting, Amaya huffed slightly and turned her gaze to take in her surroundings once again.

'What are we doing here?' She questioned him.

'Ditching.' She received in response.

Well, she got an answer for that one.

'Why here?'

'Does there have to be a reason?'

Huh, fair enough.
