Morning had come far earlier than Amaya would have preferred, If for no other reason than she didn't really manage any sleep at all.
Her inability to manage sleeping seemed to become more apparent with every passing day, while the sleep she had managed that first night was probably the most she had managed to get for quite a long while. The last few minutes she'd been in Berlin haunted her sleep relentlessly, almost as soon as she'd lay her head down to sleep, she just saw the carnage appear almost as if she was staring at it right at that moment.
She did not cry, nor did she wake up screaming like she had that morning after the events of the artificial virus.
Right now, it had been more than a couple of days since her arrival back in Japan. In fact, it had been a fair few days longer than that mere couple, though she couldn't be sure how many.
The second day of her staying in the Akabane Residence was nothing all that noteworthy – After the long and painful task of removing the stitches in her feet, she'd been forced to stay off her feet to stop the possibility of the stitches now removed needing to be put in again. This was of course, with a volatile side of glare from Karma every time he so much as saw her make a move to get to her feet. Thankfully, that was now over, though her feet were still rather tender when she walked on them.
The couple of days following were spent in much the same manner, though with Samuel refusing to stop clinging to her like some kind of energetic monkey whenever she wasn't paying attention.
They blurred together, making recollection of time hard, and through all of that, she'd heard not a single mention of Shigure or Koro-sensei.
She'd try to help out with cleaning, or anything she could do since Karma was letting them stay there without her even asking, but every time she'd make an attempt, he'd shoot her attempts down by a round of punishment pinching until she gave in and just let it be.
There was nothing that made the individual days different from one to another, and by the third day being here her recollection of days were so skewed she couldn't remember what day of the week it was, or even the date.
Sure, she'd been told once or twice, she guessed. She'd even been dragged around in tow a few times downtown, though there wasn't anything in that to help her grasp it. She honestly couldn't get a grasp on time itself, nor could she say she recalled a lot of it. She kept drifting off into the thoughts inside her head, seldom aware of her surroundings until that familiar pinching occurred to snap her out of it.
The cause of such painful instances was currently asleep though, and she dare not wake him.
He'd be in a foul mood for hours if someone woke him up early on a day he'd intended to sleep in.
In fact, he was always in a foul mood if someone woke him up at all.
She was usually the one who suffered from such a bad temper, though.
But then, just as Amaya curled up a little more in the corner at the foot of the bed, there was a sudden sounds of an impact collision, a large form hitting the glass with great force, and the most painfully recognizable forms of laughter echoed from outside.
'Nurufufufu! Karma-kun! Amaya-san!' The form of a yellow octopus stuck to the window announced jovally, his form showing as a silhouette through the curtains. 'Sensei has excellent news! Wake up and let Sensei in!'
Squidgy tapping echoed against the window, a knocking sound amongst rather telltale laughing.
'Come now, it's a beautiful morning! And Sensei does not think his students should spend it sleeping in! Unless of course you're willing to provide Sensei reason to leave you alone!'
