Chapter 4: New Friends II

Noah's POV

After filming, I actually gathered enough courage to go talk to Y/N. I need to make a better impression on her. She was eating pizza and looking on her phone in the corner of the room alone. Suddenly she gets up walking towards the big group of people surrounding the food table. This is my chance. I quickly walk over making sure not to bump into anyone or anything. I tap her on the shoulder and say,

"Uh Y/N" I gulp as she turns around.

"Hi Noah. So you do speak." I wish she would forget that. I chuckle and reply,

"Hey yeah sorry about that. I must of looked like an idiot." I still feel like an idiot.

"Its okay. I was the same way when I first started here. I was so nervous that I tripped over everything, dropped everything. I was a mess. So don't feel bad." She smiled at me. Such a beautiful smile. I smiled back like a normal person would. The next thing that came out of my mouth was a total surprise. Its like I had no control over what was happening. My mouth was speaking faster than my brain can think.

"Oh wow. So uh I came over here to ask if you wanted to hang out sometime." My heart is racing. Why did I ask that? We literally met this morning and she probably thinks I'm a freak.

"Sure," What."I want to get to know you guys better. We can become good friends. Here, give me your phone." Did she just say yes? She actually wants to become friends with me? Even after that embarrassing first impression? We switch phones and I totally forgot what was going on. I looked down at her phone confused until Y/N spoke up.

"Put your number in so we can make plans." She wants my number? Alright. I put my number in her phone and next to my name I put an emoji of a cow because I love cows. After we do that, we had a conversation like we've known each other for years when really we literally met this morning. I learned that she is a struggling actress and that she started on the Smosh Games channel 2 years ago. I told her about my acting jobs on Disney Channel and Nickelodeon and she actually remembers seeing me. Which is unbelievable.

After talking for a little more, her phone starts ringing and she answered it. She told them that she'll be home soon so it must be one of her family members....... Or boyfriend.

"Hey Noah, I have to go. It was nice talking to you. Hopefully see you soon." Then she hugged me. Is she actually hugging me? I realized I haven't hugged back and quickly do so. We pulled away and she walked off, waving. Then she was out of sight. I continued to stare in the direction she left in, processing what just happened.

"What's up Noah!" Someone slaps my back and I jump so high, I could've touched the moon. I turn around and its Keith.

"FUCK KEITH! YOU SCARED THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF ME!" I yelled at him while clutching my heart, breathing heavily. He just laughs.

"Finally got the balls to talk to Y/N I see." Here we go.

"Yeah and?

"What happened?" I was trying to hold back from smiling but I couldn't.

"Nothing really. Just got her number that's all."

"Ayyye my boy got game!" Well technically she asked for mine but I'll just leave that detail out. He put his hand on my shoulder as he gave me more advice. After our man to man talk, I started heading home. Today was an interesting day.

HOME

"Mom I'm home!" I shouted walking through the front door.

"Oh hello honey. Can you help me with dinner?" My mom asked walking out of the kitchen and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

" Yeah sure." Me and my mom are really close. You can say we're best friends. We tell each other everything. My dad isn't really in the picture. Well he never was. I've never met him. (This isn't true just making it up for the sake of this story.) But my mom has been doing an amazing job taking care of my brothers and I while he wasn't around. My brothers moved out not too long ago so its just my mom and I living here. That's why it was so easy to talk to her I guess.

"So how was your first day at Smoosh? She asks mispronouncing Smosh. I laugh.

"Its Smosh and it was really fun. I met new people and ate cold pizza." She chuckled while turning on the stove and placing a pot with water in it on top.

"How many times have I told you to stop eating cold pizza? And tell me about your new friends."

"The main two guys that run the channel are Anthony and Ian. Then there's my boss, Joe. And the other actors that started today, Keith and Olivia," I pause thinking if I should tell her about Y/N, "Then there's another girl. (Y/N).  She started working with them two years ago one of their other channels but sometimes is in videos on this channel. She's a struggling actress." I said in one breath. Oh no I said too much. She smirked at me.

"So you know quite a lot about this girl."

"Mom-" She cut me off.

"Do you like her?"

"Moooomm" I whine.

"You should invite her over for dinner."

"Maybe, mom. Maybe." I smile at her and she smiles back. She knows me so well

"So how was your day. mom?" I ask trying to change the subject.

"Not as interesting as yours." After she told me about her day, the food was ready and we ate.

After dinner, I went to bed since it was late. I said goodnight to my mom and went to bed, dreaming about my day
