Kate
Sitting in the villages' local pub now, my hip was feeling much better than it did earlier, thanks to Jakes magic pills. He gave me some NSAID tablets that his Physo gave him when we all went down the stairs after getting changed.
He said...
"Do you really think you should be walking on that tonight? Maybe you should stay here" Jake said as we waited for the taxi down stairs.
"I can't Jay needs me. It's feeling better now anyway" I lied, it still burned when I touched it and hurt when I walked too fast but the cream had helped.
"Here takes these, they're just pain relief. They'll take the swelling down. Just take one" he said making me frown.
"Just one?" I asked looking at the little pill. One? I remember feeling like I needed the whole box.
"Trust me that's all you'll need, they're made for my size and weight. You'll only need one" he said, thank god because after just one I felt as light as a feather.
"Are they safe?" I remember asking.
"Would I be giving them to you if they weren't?" he looked seriously at me and I felt my heart tighten in that moment. He cared about my safety. I never had anyone that care about me before. Well there was Millie but I've never made a guy that's care so much as to rub cream on my bruises and carry me cross the room like he did earlier.
"It was just a question" I looked down to the floor blushing yet again making him laugh that deep sexy laugh of his.
"Put some of that cream on tonight when you're taking off your clothes" he said looking me up and down burning me with his eyes. "Or did you want me to help with that?" he smirked looking at my red cheeks.
"I don't think Jay will like that" I looked up to make sure no one was in earshot of us.
"I've stopped caring what Jay likes and dislikes" he moved in closer to my side. "God you smell so good" he said sending electric shots through my body.
"Thank you" was the only thing I could think to say in return which made him laugh in my ear before moving away.
"You're welcome" he said as he walked away towards Gemma's car.
It was an hour from then in the local pub with me, Jay, Lilly and Connor that took a taxi together. As Jake and Paul went with Ben, Karl as Gemma was driving their car. The pub wasn't so busy when we got there so we managed to get a large table at the back corner on the bar so there was enough room for everyone and the guys could watch the rugby.
"So Kate what do you do for fun?" Gemma asked from across the table.
I like Gemma. I can't imagine her having an evil bone in her body. I was starting to see how they were all like that but Gemma was a little different. She smiled more than anyone else and made sure to involve everyone when she spoke. Maybe it was the mothering thing that made her seem to loving and sweet.
"Hmm I like to bake really. I guess that's it" god that made me sound so boring.
"Don't you go out with your friends, hit the town?" she said moving her body side to side when she said about going out making Lilly laugh. I laughed nervously as I pulled my hair away from my face looking down.
"I don't really have friends" I said honestly. There was no point lying about it. I didn't care for friends. I didn't understand why people attached themselves so much to people to just have people judge and hurt you... well I guess that's what I used to believe. I never knew a group of friends that love and respect each other as much as all these guys did. It was a little intimidating to be around but I liked it.
