Chapter 4- "Why Did You Come Here?"

It's become so silent. I can even hear my own breathing. I take in a breath when I hear the rustling of leaves behind me. "Go away Aatu." I know Aatu is here. He's the only one who I've shown this place to. Plus, he's my mate. He knows where I would disappear off to. I stare at the water, and slowly, Aatu's reflection joins mine in the water. I close my eyes and look away.

"Go away." I tell him again. Aatu takes a step towards me. "I can't. I would if you weren't my mate, and is Niko wouldn't keep bugging me about it." He tells me. To this, I look up at him. "Niko?" I ask. Aatu looks at me. "My wolf." He says, and looks at the lake. Oooh! That's a cute name! Zara woofs. I look at Aatu, "My wolf thinks Niko is a cute name." I tell him. "What's your wolf's name?" Aatu asks. I look at the ground. I can't believe that bracelet that I was wearing was silver! I've been wearing that think since I was five! But today, I swore never to wear it again. But still, I wonder why Zara chose to tell me about herself when I came out here with Aatu...

I jerked myself out of my thoughts, and looked at Aatu. "Oh, yeah. Her name is Zara, and my cat's is Isa." I tell him. Aatu nods, "I like it." He says with a smile. I grin, and then frown. I, again, look down at the water.

I stare at the water. "Would the Sun god approve of us being mates?" I ask him. Aatu shrugged, "The Moon goddess made it our destiny." He tells me. I stand up. "Why did you come here?" I ask him. Aatu's soft smile curls into his centaur smile. "Because, you're my mate. Plus, you showed me this place yourself. And hey, I couldn't blame ya for coming here to get your mind off of things." He says.

I shake my head and stare at the ground. "What am I suppost to do now?" I ask him. There's silence that hangs between the two of us for some time. I finally look up at him. "You can come with me." He says, and he's now moving towards me. "Where?" I ask, not meeting his gaze. "To my pack's house."

I jump away from him. "Nope. Nuh uh. Never in a million lifetimes." I tell him. Aatu's voice drops. "Why?" He asks, I look at him. "Because, I've just swore into my pride! I can't just abandon them y' know!" I turn away from him. "...Plus, I don't know what would happen if I met your pack." I say. Aatu places a hand on my shoulder, and I look into his aqua eyes. "They'll love you for you. Plus, they would love to know I've found my ma-" When he starts to say the word 'mate' I slap his arm down. "I'm not your mate! We've been through this!" I hiss, and put my hands behind my back. "Plus, you don't have any way to move me." I tell him with a smirk.

Aatu chuckles, and picks me up in his hands. I yelp in surprise. And, damn, I was sure surprised at how strong he was. I mean, I know I only weigh one hundred forty pounds, but, still! Aatu kisses my forehead, and I glare at him with a growl. "Don't even go there." I tell him, seeing him eying my lips. I look down. "How tall are you?" I ask, looking at the ground as he's walking. "Six one." He replies. My eyes widen, "Damn, you're tall!" I say. Aatu chuckles, and I look up at him from his chest. "You're quite tall too." He says. I shrug, "I'm only five eleven. My mother is five twelve, and my father is six four... Well, that's what he looks like." I say.

When Aatu puts me down, we're facing a Large, black Ford truck. I grin. "Awesome!" I say, and look at him. Aatu grins, "Yup, now, some on, let's get to the pack house." He says. I walk around the truck to the passenger's seat. I open the door and hop in. Aatu's in the driver's seat, looking at me. "Let's go!" I say. "What kind of truck is this?" I ask him. "Raptor."

Sooooo.....Liking the book so far? I know I am, but I already said that... Right? Yeah. I already said that.

So, I have a few characters that my friends and I are playing:

Petra- That's me

Vesta- She's a human, but she comes in later. One of my friends are playing her

Sofia- She's also a human, she also comes in later. Another one of my friends are playing her.

Kassana- She's a werewolf, she comes in in the next chapter ;D

Anyways, up top is what Zara looks like!...Well, other than the fact that Zara has blue/green eyes cx
